This is a Trusted Review. Why?

Globetrotters Hostel was a great place to stay in Dublin. It was only a couple of blocks from the bus and train station, and a short walk to O'Connell Street, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, etc. The rooms were large and the bunk beds were arranged to give privacy and a quiet night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and ensuite. By far the best part of this hostel was the full Irish breakfast (the same breakfast the adjoining B & B gets).

Ideally situated just a 2 minute walk from the main street in Dublin (O'Connell Street) the hostel building itself is very famous. It is 200 years old and was once the home of famous poets and playwrights Mr. Dion Boucicault and Lafcadio Hearne (Koizumi Yakumo). We have gone to great lengths to restore the buildings and the hostel still maintains the character of years gone by.

There is a marvellous friendly atmosphere here with guests and staff and the house is open 24 hours a day all year round.

One downfall: the free internet offered is only on one computer and was always occupied during my entire stay. However, there is a cheap (2 euro per hour) internet cafe across the street. I would definitely stay here again.
