About Las Casas Blancas

We are located in the heart of Santa Teresa in the Nicoya Peninsular, one of Costa Rica's most popular destinations for surfers, backpackers, nature lovers, yogis, and those who simply want to chill out on the beautiful beach and watch the breathtaking sun

We are a relaxed and friendly hostel / guest house with a great secret garden, kitchen and free Wi-Fi. You're sure to meet people from all over the world and have a laid back place to call home in Santa Teresa.

Because the hostel is 3 separate cabins, people tell us it feels more like having your own apartment! There is plenty of space for everyone and you can choose to hang out with people or do your own thing.

We're always on hand to offer help and advice about the local area etc, and can also help you book tours and ATV / car / bike rental.

Accommodation Information

Choose from a 3 or 4 bed dorm room, private double room or rent out a whole 2 bedroom cabin by the week for the best value if you're travelling in a group or just want to have the whole place to yourself!

All the rooms are recently refurbished with new mattresses. Bed linen is included for free. The living rooms have air conditioning and there are fans for the bedrooms. Bathrooms have 24 hour hot showers and each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room.

There is a lovely garden plus patios with tables, chairs and hammocks. Fast, free Wi-Fi throughout.

Location Information

Bus:

From San Jose: There is a direct bus from San Jose to Santa Teresa. It departs daily from the Coca Cola bus station and takes around 5 hours. The bus timetable changes frequently so it's best to phone to check the times: +506 2642 0219.

Ask the driver to let you off after Super Ronny #2 (NOT #1!) and Pizza Tomate. Take the side street on the right.

From Puntarenas: Take the ferry to Paquera and then either the direct bus to Santa Teresa (see above) or the bus to Cobano. From Cobano take the local bus to Santa Teresa (1000 colones). Stay on the bus until you pass the soccer field and ask the driver to let you off around Super Ronny #2 / Pizza Tomate. Take the side road on the right and walk up a short way until you see us.

Car:

From San Jose: Take Highway Panamerican to Puntarenas, then the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera. Follow the road from Paquera through Tambor, Cobano to Malpais and Santa Teresa.

From Liberia international airport: go south driving to Nicoya, once there follow the road to Carmona, Lepanto, Jicaral, Naranjo, Paquera, Cobano and finally to SantaTeresa.

Drive through the town, pass the soccer field, Super Ronny #2 and turn right after Pizza Tomate.

Air:

There are internal flights from San Jose to Tambor which take around 30 mins. From Tambor, it's around a 40 min drive.

Conditions

When you arrive, we ask for 10,000 colones deposit to cover your set of keys, linen etc. We will refund this when you check out.
PLEASE let us know what time you expect to arrive. If you're not sure, tell us what bus you're taking and we can work it out. If you don't let us know, there is a small chance we may not be there to let you in!

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 Days before arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the full cost of the reservation. Deposits paid are non refundable.
