This is a Trusted Review. Why?
Well-we had to find out that this place is in the middle of nowhere...we tried to hitchhike there...and finally ended up in a taxi in the middle of the night and the driver has never heard of this place, he called several taxi-mates and noone had an exactly idea where this ecolodge is situated. Neither the postman of Rivertown has heard of it.

BEST ECOLOGICAL BUILDING OF THE YEAR
European Eco-Label
Lama Award Finalist
The Gyreum, Ireland's first ecolodge to be awarded
the EU Eco-Label for tourist accommodation offers a venue like none other.
Located near Castlebaldwin, Co. Sligo, overlooking Lough Arrow and nestling in the heart of Sligo's cairn topped mountains. With open fire and large movie screen you can spend time relaxing in the circular hall or reading in the cosy, glass domed library. Alternatively you can explore ancient archaeology sites or surf or walk in the Bricklieve mountains or do damn all.
As you rise out of the Midlands - and feel the first savagery of the North West - that is where the Gyreum nestles. An 100ft wide wooden telly tubby-esque ring fort, a green and discreet hobbit-like edifice aligned to 3 solar events pointing toward the megalithic cairns of Moytura, Carrowkeel and Queen Maeve's 'tomb' on top of Knocknarae.
Located Near:
-Lough Arrow, Lough Bo, Lough Nasool
-Battle of Moytura Plateau (Inspiration for STAR WARS)
-Carrowkeel Megalithic Cemetery
-Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery
-Coleman Music Centre
-Strandhill Surf Beach
-Yeats's Grave
-Lake Isle of Inisfree
-Sligo Town
AIRPORTS: Knock, Sligo, Enniskillen
Note: The '2 Bed Mixed Dorm' is a two-person tent in the (floor-heated) main area of the building, complete with air mattresses, pillows and duvets.

Neither the postman of Rivertown has heard of it. ^^ As we arrived the taxidriver was sympathetic and gave us a bottle of juice in the case that there`s nothing to drink^^
I would recommend this place if you want to relax and think about your life, they have a library and cute cats. To me the motto of Gyreum is: back-to-nature and the simple life^^ with old bath tubs and eventually hot water.the landscape is beautiful.
And the home-made tea tastes great!
