Bookings for City to Surf - Sunday 14 Aug 2011. Minimum stay of 2 nights (Saturday 13 Aug and Sunday 14 Aug 2011). Payment required 2 weeks prior to check-in to secure your bed.

Booking for New Year 2011/2012? Any bookings between 27 Dec 2011- 3 Jan 2012 need to be paid for in full before they are confirmed. We will contact you for the remainder owing and will then confirm your reservation at Elephant Backpacker.

At Elephant Backpackers Sydney we have the following room types:

We provide commercially laundered sheets and blankets. All beds have a locker, either purchase or supply your own padlock. Each bunk has a bed light. All dorm rooms come with a ceiling fan and heater.

The accommodation rooms are cleaned daily and the bathrooms/toilets are cleaned x3 daily. We have recently installed a new gas water heater so there is plenty of hot water for showers. Bathrooms and toilets are split share (Male/Female) and are located on each accommodation floor. The disabled bathroom is on the ground floor.

The double rooms are a single room with 2 single beds while the double is a private room with a double bed. Both private room types have a TV, ceiling fan and security lockers.

ARRIVING AT KINGSFORD SMITH AIRPORT

If you're flying in to Sydney, we offer an affordable Airport Transfer service from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm. With a booking of three or more nights pay only $3.50 for your shuttle from the airport to the hostel. Or $12 if you are staying for less than three nights. Simply call us , or our free call number, once you've made your way through customs and we will send one of our drivers over to collect you.

BY TRAIN

From Kingsford Smith Airport to Hostel

There is a train connected to both the domestic and international airport. Ask airport staff to direct you to the underground train. You will travel from the airport to Central Railway station. Depending on the train connection, you may have to transfer to a city train. You need to get off at St James Station which is on the city loop.

BY RAIL

You need to catch a city loop train that stops at St James Station. St James Station is underground. You will come up onto Elizabeth Street Walk through Hyde Park towards St Mary’s Cathedral. Cross College Street at the Cathedral and come down St Mary’s Road turning left into Sir John Young Crescent.

BY BUS

Most interstate and country buses end their journey at Central Railway Station. You have a choice of either catching a train from Central to St James Station, see details above, or walking.

Our hostel is located opposite the Domain Gardens.
