The newly renovated HaShimi Hotel stands monumentally in the heart of the Old City. We have double, family & dormitory rooms, all with private bathrooms.
The building itself is over 400 years old! But you wouldn't know it once you're inside. The very modern and artistic interior features marble floors, stairs and railings. The entire color scheme is beautifully done in white, beige and maroon, with rich gold detailing. to radiate the warmth of Old City Jerusalem luxury.
The perfectionist owners of HaShimi have paid attention to all of the details! The whole accommodation has been newly renovated and improved from top to bottom. We have added an impressive list of features with a desire to make our guest's stay pleasant.
As an honored guest of the HaShimi, you will no doubt enjoy the brand new air- conditioning that makes the 'atmosphere' at HaShimi Hotel the best in the Old City. . HaShimi Hotel offers an in-house laundry service so you won't have to waste time washing your clothes while you are staying here.

Rules You Can Sleep By!
There are a three understandable rules at the HaShimi Hotel which are imposed by the management to ensure the rest and comfort of all the guests. I admit the rules may discourage a small percent of the world's population from staying at HaShimi Hotel, but many of us will truly appreciate them. They are:
1. The HaShimi Hotel is totally alcohol free.
2. Smoking is not permitted within the sleeping rooms.
3. Co-habitation by unmarried couples is not allowed. They must have separate rooms. (However, the HaShimi Hotel's romantic location and decor make it a very popular Honeymoon Destination.) you can exchange major currencies at the front desk.
please notice that we dont accept payments by credit cards
*no unmarried couples and no alcohol allowed in our hostel
* no credit card facility

This is a Trusted Review. Why?
I was very satisfied with Hashini Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help and to accommodate their guests.
The location couldn't be better - it is more or less halfway between Damascus Gate and Jaffa Gate meaning that everything in the old city is minutes away by way.
If I were to travel to Israel again I would certainly go there again.
