well located, staff were friendly, helpfull and courteous
I was greeted by a very nice man, who might have been Irish. He was friendly and helpful.
The bed was comfortable and appeared clean. The pillow was lumpy.
The shower was hot but the water flowed straight out under the door and onto the floor outside. This could easily be fixed by building a small lip around the base of the shower. People generally can't be bothered to mop up a mess so dirty shoes and water soon look like mud. Not nice.
The facilities were run down and tap handles and such fell off. The fan in the girl's dorm was noisy and people complained about having it on so it was hot in the room.
The worst experience I had was at breakfast before I checked out: I was watching the CNN news in English and was the only person in the room. The young girl at the desk suddenly turned it off and put on some music. I asked could I please continue to watch the news while I had my breakfast. She said it was not possible because in 15 minutes others would come in, and if there were "programs" on the TV they would stay and watch it and not leave quickly. "But there is only me here at the moment. Perhaps I could just watch it for 10 minutes". This was mean and petty and I wouldn't go back again as they clearly couldn't give a stuff about making me feel special.
Also the breakfast is dreadful - instant coffee - come on now! Surely decent coffee isn't too much to ask for? The coffee was so bad that I asked for a cup of tea, only to be told that would cost me extra!
And the dry cold individually wrapped croissants are dry and disgusting. It doesn't take much money to provide a fresh breakfast. Small touches in service and good coffee make up for taps that fall off and the general run-down appearance of the place
Very nice people, great location.

Staff were friendly, room adequate. Nothing particularly special about the place, but overall decent value.

The old adish is that you get what you pay for and Mono's fits that category to a T.
If you want comfort this is not the place, if you are happy to slum it for a night at a cheap price no better place.
Couldnt stand the late shift girl who thinks this is the bees and ees but for £14 a night who cares.
Not recommended for any length of stay over a night. Not particularly clean.

Really pretty appalled by what passes for passable. I purposely wrote ahead and asked for a quiet room not facing the street, because I knew I would get to Israel after no sleep for over 24 hours. I was told the quiet rooms were given away when I got there and they would "upgrade" me to a double. The double barely fit two beds and was placed directly over a nightclub blasting bad disco well into the night. The room was filthy and I slept in sweatpants and a sweatshirt afraid what creatures lay in the mattress. The room was cold. If you are not staying in the bare budget dorms, then splurge and stay in a place that won't give you a blaring headache, plus possible lice and CRABS eeeuuuwww! Oh, and the breakfast is coffee or tea, period. The very friendly and helpful female staff unfortunately could not make up for the major fear factor of the room and communal bathroom.

Location on the main street Ben Yeduda, near to the pub, bars end restaurants. Twin rooms with shared bathroom very small with no aircondition. A big minus for 30 degrees every day. You have to appreciate only a little ventilator not very vell fonctionned. Service very helpfull. Be prepared for a frech reakfast : only cake and coffee or tea.
