Welcome to the Vetrai 98- a modern, fully refurnished apartment in the centre of the island of Murano- famous for its glass- making.

The Vetrai 98 is a perfect place to enjoy the best of both worlds by visiting bustling Venice during the day and coming back to you comfortable "home away from home" in Murano.

Murano is an island town, about 1.5 km (1 mile) north of Venice, in northern Italy, like Venice, is a series of islands in the Venetian Lagoon linked by bridges. The population is just over 6,000 residents.

The Grand Canal, "Canale Grande", splits the island into two. Walking around the island will help you discover the beautiful colors, little shops and restaurants along the canals and is all part of the experience of Murano. The island is only about 1 mile across so it is small enough to explore by foot.

This exclusive apartment which was fully renovated in 2011, shows its character by its exposed wood beam ceilings. It sits on a ground floor in 50 square mt, accommodating a minimum of two and a maximum of 5 people. It is located slightly off the street and has a small courtyard where you can sit outside.

This cozy 2 bedroom apartment consists of a small entrance way leading into a living room with a very comfortable sofa-bed for 2 guests, TV.

A kitchen with fully equipped cooking facilities, a table for 4, oven, fridge/freezer lets you try your hand at some of the Venetian specialities.

The double bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe closet and a chest of drawers. The single bedroom has a single bed and a wardrobe closet.

If you decide to visit during the winter months, the apartment has heated floors! Quite a treat!

The bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet and bidet.

The apartment also has a washing machine, and a lot of closet space.

Vetrai 98 is located on the island of Murano in Rio dei Vetrai 98. To reach us, you must use a waterbus (Vaporetti) and get off the stop called COLONNA. We ask that you please telephone us 0039 328 927 5334 ahead of time and we can meet you as you get off the waterbus at Colonna, and accompany you to the apartment. (5-10 minute walk)

To reach Murano Colonna you must take the ACTV waterbus number 4.1 or 4.2

DIRECTIONS FROM VENICE-MARCO POLO AIRPORT

Take the Airport Waterbus Shuttle “ALILAGUNA BLU” to Murano:

Alilaguna Blu leaves every half hour on the :15 and :45 minutes of each hour from the Airport, and takes approx 30 minutes to arrive at Murano Colonna. In the evening after 8pm until 12.15am, it leaves every hour on the :15 minutes of the hour.

Single ticket per person: 15,00 euro.

Take the shuttle bus from the Airport to Piazzale Roma (journey time 1 hr10), then follow the directions we have written from Piazzle Roma (above).
