No problem checking in. We found it easily but used a street map of Bergamo which we already had from another occasion.
Breakfast facilities excellent. The only reason I gave it 3 for value was that we also booked an en-suite room in a 3*hotel with breakfast for the same price.

About Holiday House Abelia
ABELIA guesthouse offers a good solution to visit Bergamo and the country side (e.g. Sotto il Monte where Pope Joan XXIII was born– Iseo Lake, Garda Lake, Venice, Milan).
ABELIA is situated on the third (and last) floor with a lift in an antique building near the bank, post office, restaurants and shopping centre.
We take great pride in keeping our guests informed and updated on all the city events (exibitions, shows at Donizetti theatre), about bus/train timetable and shops.
The guesthouse has 6 rooms, 2 kitchen, 3 bathroom with shower/bath and 1 with bath, ideal for small groups or families.
Miguel & Maurice are absolutly Friendly !
Prices include: self-service breakfast, access to our fully equipped kitchen, INTERNET POINT + WI-FI, set of bathroom towels and set of bed linen, change of bed linen and towels twice a week, cleaning service during the stay and end of stay, air conditioning in some of the rooms,
hair dryer, iron.

The place was clean, that is the only good thing I can say. There was never anyone around to offer any help what so ever, no one to show me how to use the coffee machine which was hard to use believe me I tried many times, so I did not have any hot drink the whole time I stayed there, the key system is terrible - on my first day I could not get back into the property, it caused me a great deal of stress, its a long walk into Bergamo, no ways its 10 minutes from the train station (maybe by car) I walked all around many times,. Bergamo is a fantastic place & I would recommend a visit but choose somewhere more central & there are many good hotels, pay a little more & get better treatment & facilities.

Great breakfast!
Walk to the 10-15m from the station, but passes a bus stop in front you at the train station.
