You can also notify your driver that we are near the Sorya Shopping Centre, a landmark in Phnom Penh (all taxis or tuk-tuks know this landmark).
From / to airport:
9km West of city centre, a taxi from the airport will cost a set price of $9 and $7 for a tuk-tuk. If you walk outside the airport gates, the taxi may charge $6-7 to city centre, and the tuk-tuk may take you for $4-5, depending on your negotiation skills.
Going to the airport from the hotel, the going rate is $6-7 for a taxi and $4-5 for a tuk-tuk.
Rates also depend on the number of persons travelling, amount of luggage and time of the day.
From / to bus station:
There is no centralised bus station. The largest bus company GST Express and Phnom Penh Sorya Transport are just beside the Central Market Phsa Thmei, hence Khmer City Hotel is reachable by foot (about 200m). Other bus companies (Capitol Tours, Mailinh Group, Mekong Express, Sokha Tep Express etc) are just a stone throw away from the Hotel, a tuk-tuk should cost no more than $1.5-3.
