We had a great stay at Camping La Sfinge! The cabin that we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. The campsite was very close to Cinque Terre and a simple train ride brought you to all 5 towns. The staff were friendly and helpful..... the only complaint is that internet did not work very well.

About Camping La Sfinge
Near CINQUE TERRE National Park (only 15 min. by train) and Portofino, Camping 'LA SFINGE' is located at Deiva Marina, immersed in a landscape of pine and acacia trees in an enchanting valley. The medium size of the campground guarantees a friendly and familiar atmosphere, very clean facilities and helpful staff.
We are a perfect stopover for backpackers, cyclists and walkers who plan to visit the famous National Park of 'Cinque Terre'. Ideal for sea and nature lovers, we are only 3 km from Deiva Marina and its nice beach (a free shuttle bus is leaving directly in front of Deiva Marina' train station). We are also an excellent point of departure for trips on foot and by bicycle and for trekking in the unspoilt countryside of the woods in Liguria.
The campsite provides pretty HOUSE TENTS (private room, Euro 15,00 per bed) with 2 real beds inside, which are very comfortable, including pillows and blankets. These tents are situated on typical Ligurian terraces - very peaceful and panoramic.
CABIN: 2 bed private room - little wooden house - Euro 20,00 per bed.
Excursions you can take from our proerty: Cinque Terre, Portofino, Portovenere, La Spezia, Genova (aquarium), Pisa, Lucca, Carrara (marble quarries).
Reception opening hours: 9:00 - 21:00
Check-in: 14:00 - 21:00
Departure: within 11:00
Free shuttle Bus in front of Deiva Marina's train station -LOW SEASON: available from 9:00 until 21:00

Conditions
Our guests must be 'adults' so we cannot accept guests under 18 years and every person must present at the check-in a valid identification document (passport for non EU members). It is striclty forbidden to stay with more than 2 persons in our tents and cabins!

A great family camp! The description is absolutely true. It is close to Cinque Terre and some superb walking tracks. We enjoyed our two night stay.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, the facitilies were clean, and they have the best free hot showers I have every used in a campsite. Although they are not situated in one of the main tourist towns, they are easy to reach (even on foot from the station), they offer regular free shuttles, and it is very peaceful. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Advertised as 15 minutes to Cinque Terra's but in reality it took us over 2 hours. The bus to the Camp site runs erratically, not during peak times and so you can end up waiting for over an hour. The tents have 2 beds but little room for anything else and are not secure. There are no cooking facilities provided and the township charges a fortune for frozen microwave pasta meals.
A good place to stay if you want to get away from everyone and have your own gear eg bbq. Not really good for backpackers in regards to location or facilities.

We stayed in a tent with 2 beds and it was just what we needed, clean and cheap!
It was very easy to take the train into Cinque Terre, so that is not a problem! The only bad thing was the internet did NOT work! And we were paying for it! But other than that, great place.

We had 2 nights in a tent with nice beds. It was clean. There were a fine small supermarket in the camping area. Fast shuttlebuses to Deiva Marina trainstation. It was a 30 min. walk from Deiva Marina. Nice clean bathing and toilet facilities. By train there were not long to Monterosso where you can start the wonderful walk to Vernazza!
