Biassa is a beautiful little town near Cinque Terre and La Spezia. The hostel was nice and the staff were very helpful when we needed them. The busses were a little bit inconvenient, however if you do a little bit of planning for your day, you will have no problem.

About Ostello Tramonti
On the northwestern hills of la spezia, aside the breathtaking coast of the 'cinque terre'(4km), the hostel 'tramonti' is situated in the ancient hamlet of biassa. The village is situated on the verdant hills surrounding the gulf and it is the main doorway to the 'cinque terre' and to the several pathways crossing the hillside. Especially suitable for groups, or people that travel around the area with their own way of transport, or rented car. Free parking

Absolutely after 2.30 p.m. And untill 11.00 p.m. (not in the morning ).
Opening time from 07.00 a.m. To 10.30 a.m. And from 2.30 p.m. To 01.00 a.m.
Curfew:1:00 a.m.
Lock out and cleaning: 10:30 a.m - 02:30 p.m. Wc and showers are kept closed and guests are asked not to stay in the hostel
We ask a refundable deposit for room and locker’s key( 5,00 euro/only cash).
Cancellation policy :
We accept cancellation or modification of your booking only by e-mail(not by phone) 36 hours before your arrival.
Refreshments are available - breakfast:the breakfast start 07:30 a.m. And close 09:30 a.m., bar, hot and cold self-service meals, and packed meals. We have special arrangements with local 'trattorie' (small restaurants) of the area.
In reception we have englsh spoken receptionists, public telephone, mountain-bike rental, information service, organized excursions and sightseeing. In our common room you can enjoy television and dvd video, table games and a library.
All parts of the hostel are wheelchair accessible including restrooms and shower facilities.
Please note: the property management reserves the right to conatct the customer and ask the cvv code of the credit card in order to guarantee the booking.

The rooms were clean and tidy when you arrived and there was someone there on your arrival. The hostell however closes during the day between 1000 and 1400. We found the staff very unapproachable making you feel almost guilty for disturbing them. The location was also very inconvienent as there were so few buses to get to and from the Cinque Terre. I am sure that some people would and will have a great stay I have to say I was really disappointed.

It was a pleasant stay although I think that it needs some refurbishment/maintenance in the toilets/showers as some do not work properly and water does not drain properly.
Otherwise the staff were helpful and accomodating.

We booked this place in the last minute. Thanks to the others for theirs comments. I can just agree. This place is worth its money, staff is very helpful and kind. While the cinque terre is always overbooked, this wasn't and its only a couple of miles away from Riomaggiore, which can be reached by bus leaving just in front of the hostel. I can as well recommend the local trattoria in Biassa, where the owner Francesco gave us homemade panigacci and other authentic food for a fair price.
The hostel is especially to recommend for people who want to do hiking in the area. Some hiking tracks just start in front of the hostel. We went by car to Campiglia ( out of the main tourist area) and then went hiking in really authentic landscape along the coast and apart from some local people we met nobody. You can choose between the main tourist areas and some more remote places. Thats how we like our holidays, nice people, good food, and all this to a really fair price.

we loved this hostel! really big rooms, clean, lots of facilities, the staff were REALLY helpful in getting to cinque terre. wasnt too difficult to find and it was in a really beautiful spot. i would definitely reccomend people to stay here!

Ostello Tramonti is beautiful and in a quaint little town. The breakfast was very tasty and at a great value. The hostel was not very full, so the two of us had a room to ourselves. Only concern is - it is NOT "aside the breathtaking coast of the Five Lands (Cinque Terre)." It's a haul by bus and tricky by car. It was still worth it for us - but be sure to note that it is not in Cinque Terre.
