The lady (owner of the houseboat) was very friendly and kind. There was no problem finding the boat and we could easily get there on foot (20 minutes) from the car park (P+R Bos en Lommer) where we left our car for the stay. So for location it is ideal, very close to the central.

About Houseboat Ripple
Houseboat Ripple is a beautiful, spacious, modern, and bright houseboat, with large private secluded sun deck, in Amsterdam.Located on a quiet south facing mooring, with no direct neighbours opposite over looking the property, yet only 5 minutes by bike to Leidseplein or 10 minutes by tram to the centre. Close to Vondelpark and Museumplein. The famous farmers market on Ten Katestraat is just around the corner. Within walking distance of five different tram routes and one night bus.Two rooms available for bed and breakfast - each with a double (three quarter size) bed. Shared modern bathroom. Shared modern kitchen area and very spacious communal lounge / dining area with triple sat TV (all BBC and ITV channels, Film 4 and many more).Breakfast is served Monday to Friday, and self service at weekends, and includes fresh croissants, fruit, cereals, eggs, cheese, ham, orange juice and tea or coffee.Bikes are available to rent and there is a small cruising boat / yacht moored alongside which you are welcome to sit on enjoying a cool glass of Chardonnay whilst watching the sun go down at the end of the canal.Please note : Cancellation policy : 48hCheck in : 18.00Check out : 11.00. The lady (owner of the houseboat) was very friendly and kind. There was no problem finding the boat and we could easily get there on foot (20 minutes) from the car park (P+R Bos en Lommer) where we left our car for the stay. So for location it is ideal, very close to the central. Before we arrived I emailed the lady, and she answered all my questions kindly. We had no problem with "check in", although it is not a hotel or hostel, so it was not like checking in one of those.. We paid and she show us the boat and gave us the key. My only problem was the bed in our room, which was a bit small for 2 person and the breakfast was not cooked. The lady was very nice throughout our stay, but I expected a bit more effort from her when it came to the breakfast (that was a bit disappointing). I can only recommend this place to young people or students or a group of friends, not for couples or somebody who likes to stay in hotels with more comfort.
