If you want to be able to sleep, DO NOT STAY HERE. If you don't mind LOUD people ALL HOURS, then this place might be a cheap stay. There are people that obviously live here full-time that have no respect. I was woken by them literally every hour for all three nights of my stay.

Welcome to Adventurers,During your stay with us in the beautiful Tropics, enjoy free coffee tea and toast every morning in our reception with our friendly helpful staff who can book your tours, bus tickets dives etc onsite at a discounted rate and we have recently renovated our Rooftop Pool where you can enjoy a nice cool dip overlooking the ocean and the city lights.We are within walking distance to the city and shops, the nightclub and restaurants, and our wonderful Sunday Morning Markets. We are a local family run business and have a vast knowledge of things to do whilst in Townsville and all of our friendly staff can help you during your stay. We can also accommodate large or small groups as our facilities are very big with lots of room for all. There are people that obviously live here full-time that have no respect. I was woken by them literally every hour for all three nights of my stay. For someone on business, this is not good.
The staff are friendly, but disorganized and too often unavailable. Examples include: I almost missed the ability to check into my room because I arrived at 7:45pm just as they were closing up. Had I arrived 15 minutes later I would be SOL. There are dishes available for guests, but they are kept in the office and because the office was subsequently closed, I was unable to cook.
The rooms are clean and large for a hostel. The hostel itself is in need of a remodel. It reminds me of a dilapidated building in Cuba.
I was not given a blanket and didn't think to bring one, so I was COLD every night. It's subtropical, but winter still made it into the low-teens celcius.All in all, I would NOT stay here again.
A strange place. It is huge and looks like it should be a buzzing backpackers' hostel but it was deathly quiet when we went, which was at a time I'd have expected a few more people to be around (December).
The rooms were basic but clean and air conditioned. The bathrooms were communal and large but again clean. The kitchen and common room, however, appeared (and smelled) rather grubby and we avoided using it because of this reason!
This place is fine for an over night but for anything else I'd recommend somewhere else unless you're really stuck! Having said this, the staff were very friendly and helpful
