About Mars Guesthouse
Mars guest house is next to Dali old town. Based on residence of BAI, it was redecorated special for interior in 2011. My wife and I designed and installed most of things by ourselves in order to meet the requirement of travellers like us, who enjoy travel but not compromise comfort.
A truely comfortable place is what we want, no matter as travller or guest house owner, no matter for dorms or private room. Nice bathroom, soft slipper, carpet etc, all of these are designed to achieve this target.
We have APPLE TV for photo sharing, XBOX for games and a large hard disk for music exchanging. So, welcome to Mars, enjoy your Dali's time.

People speak no or just a very litlle bit English. Had to ask three times to get other towels.
But is is really a gem, if you notice what you have to pay for the room.
It is only 500 meters from the gate where busline 4 from Xiquan stops. If you arrive by bus from Kunming at Xiquan busstation notice that the little bus in front of the busstation which has no number is busline 4. It cost 3,5 RM because i had a bag and a suitcase.
Normaly you pay 1,5 rmb for the local big bus number 4 to/from Xiquan.
