I've stayed in Porto Carras on four occasions. It is a fantastic place for the family vacations, not so much for the young people looking for fun (but those might check the nearby Neos Marmaras).
The rooms, food and service are absolutely fantastic.

Located on the sandy beach of Chalkidiki, Sithonia Thalasso & Spa offers 5-star accommodation surrounded by landscaped gardens. It features a private marina, a casino and a spa centre.
Porto Carras Sithonia rooms are luxuriously decorated with elegant furnishings and marbled bathrooms. Their balconies boast views of Toroneos Bay or the complex golf course. They are all equipped with satellite TV, air conditioning and hairdryer.
The hotel’s state-of-the-art spa offers exclusive thalassotherapy treatments and includes a hamam, sauna, indoor pool, hair salon and fitness room. Other leisure facilities include football and basketball courses, as well as an 18-hole golf course.
Porto Carras Sithonia features 3 restaurants serving Mediterranean and ethnic cuisine. 5 bars, at the pool, the beach, the lagoons and the casino of Sithonia, serve refreshing cocktails and wine from the hotel’s own vineyards.

The remaining amount of the reservation will be preauthorized and charged on arrival date of the booking by Travelmed Hotels Group. For non valid credit cards you will receive an e-mail notification. I've stayed in Porto Carras on four occasions. It is a fantastic place for the family vacations, not so much for the young people looking for fun (but those might check the nearby Neos Marmaras).
The rooms, food and service are absolutely fantastic. The hotel is next to the private beach, but there are also half a dozen of pools to swim in.
The property incorporates a wonderful marina which is full of yachts and small private boats.
The is a regular ferry to and from Neos Marmaras which is departing every hour.
Sithonia is one of the few places in Greece that has a gambling licence, so you might go into casino for a few rounds of blackjack, slots or roulette.
What I didn't like is that they charge extra for internet access (about 10 EUR for 50 hours or so) and there is also extra charge for indoor pool and sauna.
All in all, I can heartily recommend this hotel to families with kids.
