We were travelling with two families, so value for money was important. Hotel Genesio filled this requirement. The rooms were clean; the breakfast was awesome for a continental breakfast; the service was great and the staff very friendly; location was good - right on the beach; easily accessible from the Autostrada (highway).
The only two bad points: I ended up on the noisy side of the hotel - quite a bit of traffic; (the other family on the quiet side), and the bathrooms are really, really small!Overall, we were very happy with the one night we spent there.

About Hotel Genesio
Hotel Genesio is located in the historic center of Florence within walking distance of the Santa Maria Novella Central Train Station, museums and monuments such as the Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Accademia where Michelangelo's celebrated 'David' is displayed.
The hotel staff offers assistance with museum ticket reservations. Conference facilities are also easily accessible, as Hotel Genesio is situated near the Centro Congressi, the Fortezza da Basso, and other conference centers, meeting places, shows, and international fairs.
All our rooms are equipped with private bathroom, TV, telephone, safety deposit box and air conditioning.
A relaxed atmosphere and the care of the details denote the qualities of the Hotel Genesio.
Each room has a different colour, decor and particular furnishing, which have been chosen with much care.
