We found this B and B to be very expensive - the breakfast was very poor indeed. Unfortunately the owner was unable to converse in English so we had difficulties with the price of the accommodation and how long we were staying, even using the print off from travellers point. Other guests (some of whom spoke Italian) also had similar complaints.

NO INTERNET ACCESS, SINCE THE ADD SAID THEY HAVE IT!
NO AIR AND NO SMALL REFRIGERATOR.ONLY ONE PERSON SPEAKS ENGLISH.

Pensione Lea is great value for money in a city where accommodation is otherwise very expensive. The location is good, with walking distance to the city centre, as well as a supermarket very close by. I stayed in a single room with an ensuite bathroom and tv, which was delightful and well worth the low cost. The main room was clean, but the toilet paper had not been refilled and there was a used glass and a used shampoo sachet in the bathroom which leads me to believe the bathroom may not have been cleaned properly (however, it otherwise looked very clean). By far the most positive part of my stay was the very friendly and accomodating service provided by the owners. I was tired and stressed when I arrived at the hotel, but five minutes conversing with one of the owners while checking in completely changed my mood. They are both absolutely lovely people and made my stay very pleasant. If I return to Florence in the future I will defintitely try to get a room at Pensione Lea again.
