The hotel is situated on a quiet street very near to the station so the location was idyllic. It was possible to get a room with an ensuite bathroom for a good price, and the rooms are big and full of light.
However the facilities were very basic- no TV or cooking facilities were available and service staff were not particularly friendly.

Marcella, run by a family is a friendly clean place located 5 minutes from the Main Station S.M.N. between Fortezza da Basso and all important Museums and Monuments of historical centre of Florence ..
Please note:
- no curfew, no lock-out during the day.
- Check-in time from 8.00a.m. to 10 PM.
- 3rd and top floor with no lift

Directions
If you arrive to Florence by airplane, you are going to land at Vespucci Airport. From 5.30 a.m. till 21.00 pm there's a Volainbus bus each 30 minutes leaving from Vespucci Airport to Santa Maria Novella Central Station.
When you arrive in the Central Station of Florence by train: SMN Firenze you have to exit at your left side (you have the trains behind you), cross the street at traffic lights, turn on the left and follow the street until you'll arrive in a square with blue bus (LAZZI), turn on the right until the end of the way...you'll find Via Faenza, turn on the right and look for us at number 58.
