This is a Trusted Review. Why?
We are two seniors who chose Palmers for the last night of our stay. We had "trained" into Zagreb, arriving late afternoon, so the location near train station was very desirable. It's a newer hostel, all was in good repair except for some mildew on the shower ceiling. Also very near the huge underground shopping mall beneath the park in front of station. We had reserved a private/ensuite room (4 bunks). The next morning it was easy to walk one block for bakery goodies to go with instant coffee at the hostel. They called a cab for us (definitely knew the lowest price cab company) and we were off to the airport.
The whole booking and overnight stay went smoothly. Nothing to improve.

The positives: the hostel is easily reached from the train or bus station. it is well marked and easy to find. It is kept clean and standard hostel facilities are provided athough this is the first one that asked for a deposit on the towel. The negative is that the room I stayed in was incredibly noisy: trams passing constantly and the pedestrian crossing light ticking were the two most annoying. The amorous couple in the next bed did not help. The room has only a very small window so it is dark and stuffy. If you are given a bed in the Jardun room, and are a light sleeper, ask to be moved or stay somewhere else as you will not get any sleep.
