Wadi Rum has the most spectacular desert scenery on earth. Its sweeping, desolate valleys of red and white dunes stretch for over 100km, bounded by towering jabaal, peaks smoothed and sculpted into striking sandstone domes. Our family has been here for centuries, and we know and love the desert like an old friend.
We also offer a wide range of adventure excursions into the heart of Wadi Rum. As well as carefully-designed jeep tours, camel treks, hiking and climbing, we offer fully-customizable tours designed by you. We’ll help, of course. Join us on one of our unforgettable excursions into the desert of your wildest dreams…
For more information of any of ouradventure excursions please visit our website at www.wildwadirum.com
Our accomedation includes:
Dinner (a generous Bedouin meal)
Water / Tea and Coffee with meals
We have two beautiful desert campsites. It is set beneath Jebel Araqqa with great sunset views to the west across a wide sandy valley. In addition to our private tents with both single and double beds and all sleeping equipment, the camp features a kitchen and state-of-the-art bathroom facilities, including sinks, western-style toilet and shower with hot water. Our traditional, long, black Bedouin tent, woven from goat hair, comfortably seats even large groups on its comfortable carpets, cushions and pillows. We also offer accommodation in our family home in Wadi Rum village, a one minute walk from where the bus to Petra and Aqaba arrives and departs, for 10JD per night. Our house has a good Wi-Fi connection, several bathrooms, comfortable mats and warm blankets, several rooms for sleeping and a roof which is great for sleeping under the stars during summer months.
The best way to reach us is by car or by taxi and there is also a but from Petra. From Amman it takes around 3.5 hours and from Aqaba an hour by car or taxi on the desert highway.
There is also a bus from Petra to Wadi Rum each day and it is best to ask your hotel in Petra to arrange it for you.
Please let us know via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 00962776470477 what time you will be arriving and we will meet you at the visitors center near the village.
