The hostel was amazing! Its exactly what the pictures advertise! All be it the bathrooms are teeny tiny but the amenties are there and its very clean. One of the issues with the bathrooms in each room is that the fan is super loud and I kept getting woken up whenever anyone visited the bathroom in the middle of the night!
The lounge is super comfortable with plenty of tables for everyone. Its spacious enough that you can choose to socialize or not and no one would be any wiser. I really enjoyed my stay, location is wonderful, people are great and the price is right!
OH i should note that they've taken the extra step in adding power outlets next to every bed, so even if you're on the top bunk, there an outlet right next to you way up there!!

This was my first visit to Canada, so it could be that all the hostels there are this good - but this was a truly excellent hostel. The whole place has recently been refurbished, and the standard of cleanliness was high. I stayed in a 16 bed mixed dorm, and this came with ensuite shower room, seperate ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet, sink), 2 large wall-mounted flatscreen TVs, free wireless internet and 2 power points by each bed. Towels are provided for the showers, and breakfast is included - this consists of toast, waffles, boiled eggs, muffins, orange-juice, tea, and coffee in a buffet-style arrangement. The kitchen comes with two large ovens and a large fridge-freezer, microwave and toasters, along with basic pots/pans/cutlery etc. Lockers are available for valuables, padlocks for these can be obtained for a $10 deposit. The reception area also has a small bottle-bar, with some very good beers available, and a small seating area. The staff were universally friendly and helpful, and had a ready supply of maps and leaflets for those looking for something to do in the city. Access is via an electronic keycard, and the reception area is manned 24hrs, so no problems coming and going late at night. Latest checkout on the day of departure is 11am. Finally, the price was remarkably low - very good value for money indeed. I highly reccommend this hostel.
