Hostel Mackenzie is a brand new hostel located in Slavija square, the very geographical center of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in the old downtown district housing banks, embassies and government buildings. The hostel is minutes away from bus, tram and train stations.

The hostel offers three different bedroom suites, a standard six bedroom suite, a more private two bedroom suite with a separate veranda overlooking the backyard and a single bed suite. For an extra charge, continental breakfast is available each morning. It also offers a kitchen, two bathrooms, free WI-FI, free lockers, towels and linens, a laundry room with a washer and drier, air conditioning and a backyard. On demand, the owner will prepare a traditional Serbian barbeque in the backyard. This property is one of the rare properties in Belgrade with a separate backyard perfect for reading, talking with friends, enjoying a beer or two or just relaxing. You are surrounded by flowers and trees and totally separate from the bustle of the city although you are located in the centre of Belgrade. The backyard has rustic wood tables and seats perfect for parties.

Accommodation Information

The hostel has three bedrooms, a room with six full size beds and a separate, private double bed room with a separate veranda overlooking the backyard and separate entrance and a single bed suite. Each room has a bedside lamp, table and chairs. The main room has a cable TV.

Location Information

If you arrive by plane, you can take either a taxi or a bus from Nikola Tesla Airport to the drop off station by Slavija Hotel. The hostel is a two minute walk from there. If you take the train, you can either take a short taxi ride or take any tram going up Nemanjina Street (when you exit the main train station you are facing Nemanina Street) to Slavija square. If you drive, you can park on on the street, sometimes in front of the hostel, if you are lucky, or park at the parking garage located right across from Slavija Hotel, about two minutes away on foot.
