Great 83%

I recently stayed here for just over a week. I was looking for somewhere chilled out and relaxed where i could get some uni work done during the day. It was the perfect place for a budget traveler. I booked a single room but was given a dorm room to myself as it was low season. The place was clean, fans in the room, nice atmosphere.

You are allowed to use the fridge, microwave and cooking facilities in the main kitchen, and also the TV in the common area if you like. There is a lovely little outdoor garden, perfect for sitting outside in the evening and chatting with other traveler's or doing your own thing. Wi-fi is also excellent - it doesn't reach the rooms (at least the one I was in) but there was plenty of space in the common areas.

I prefer to be out of Colombo city centre so thought this location was great. Few minutes walk to the beach in one direction and to the main street with lots of cheap food options in the other direction. Easy walking distance to local buses and trains so can easily get anywhere you need to go.

The people running it are lovely. Very friendly and helpful with anything you need and also respect your space. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is travelling on a budget and wants a nice, simple place to stay.
