This is a fabulous hotel located on the eastern side of the lake and sits imposing with 6 floors. We had a corner room with views south on the 5th floor. Room although not huge wasn't to cramped and the bathroom had good shower etc.

The hotel is in Cadenabbia on an enchanting scenery of Lake Como, between 1700 villas, arises from 1830 Hotel Britannia Excelsior, 50 mt. from the docks and directly on the lake front with a beautiful view of Bellagio.

The Hotel, built and furnished in liberty styled, gives you the impression to live in a magic atmosphere. The Hotel has been completely renewed.

This is a fabulous hotel located on the eastern side of the lake and sits imposing with 6 floors. We had a corner room with views south on the 5th floor. Room although not huge wasn't to cramped and the bathroom had good shower etc. Still not sure to do with a bidet other than was my socks in?;-)
The hotel has good facilities although you do have to walk a fair distance down the road to get to the swimming pool! The buffet breakfasts and dinners were sumptuous but a little boring after 3-4 days. The hotel recieves a lot of tourist buses and so every nite there is another 2-3 bus loads arriving an departing so can be a bit disturbing ?!? Reception is helpful except the snippy captian of the desk who refused to give me my washing as she was to busy?!! To busy telling other staff what to do grrr. Wifi is only in lobby area and so the lounge off it was full of people with laptops and smArt phones. I even managed to book over 20 hotels through this site with the ubiquitous apple device.
The views feel and atmosphere of lake Como is magical and no one could not but be impressed by this beautiful spot! I highly recommend this hotel as a good base easy to get to Como or just run around the lake itself. Ferries are a bit € but go regularly.
One activity I must reccomend is to hire a decent motorcycle ( nice place in mandrill de lario) no brand just an iconic bike and take that bike and ride around the lake and up into Switzerland to "do lunch in St Moritz" there is nothing better in this world to do !! I did it and it was fab !!!

FLIGHTS WERE CANCELLED DUE TO VOLCANIC ERUPTION AND STAFF WERE KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE THEIR COMPUTER FOR OUR PURPOSES TO ENSURE WE WERE NOT STRANDED AT THE AIRPORT. DID NOT EXERCISE THE OPTION OF THE FREE BREAKFAST BUT THERE WERE MANY OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE IN THE AREA. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.

Newly renovated, clean and comfortable, I will gladly recommend this hotel for travellers to lake como. Do ask for the beautiful lake view which we got, it's a view to die for!
