YoHo Intl. Youth Hostel Salzburg

The YOHO - International Youth Hotel is a proud member of 'Europe's Famous Hostels' (EFH).

Our BAR and the AMADEUS Room take care of our hungry and thirsty guests! HAPPY HOUR every day at 6pm.

The Sound of Music movie is played every day after breakfast (at 10.30am) and the famous tour leaves daily at 9 am and 1:30 pm.

If you book your tour at the hostel (for example city tour, saltmines, bavarian mountains,..) you receive up to a 10% discount to normal price.

We serve excellent breakfast from 8 to 10 am and dinner is from 7 to 8.30 pm. Meals are not included. But they are priced for the budget traveller.!

The reception is open 24 hrs and will do the best to help you get in and around Salzburg (free city maps and information available at the reception. The best way to explore the city on your own is with the Salzburg Card - ask for it at the rception.

The bar serves the local, yet world famous, STIEGL beer, wine, cocktails,... Happy Hour every day at 6pm! Stop for a cold one after a day of touring!

Perfect! Good location, brand new beds and very efficient key-system with lockers. A very interesting hostel in Salzburg. Just keep on going the same way, I enjoyed it very much with my family

This hostel was very clean and comfortable. Rooms were large with bunk beds and a sink in the room. Toilets and showers were on each floor and were clean. It was a decent walk into the city center and to the train station, but do-able. Staff were helpful and you can book tours directly from the front desk. The computer room was great, very modern with lots of computers for internet access. There is also a lounge with TV and DVD. I would definitely stay at this hostel again.

Great place. Good fun, great cheap food. Close to everything. Only complaint would maybe be the big line up to use the laundry facilities, but that cant be helped, really. Would definitely reccommend staying here.

From the trainstaion:

At the main exit of the trainstation go out left - after a couple hundred meters you will come to a big crossing. on the righthand side there is a gas station, on the left there is a train-underpass.

go through the tunnel (left side, gabelsbergerstrasse) and at the 2nd big crossing turn right. The 4th house on the right side is the YOHO (Paracelusstraߥ 9) - that's it!
(about 10 min walk)


from airport:

Take bus # 2 from airport to the trainstation. Takes about 20 minutes. Busticket is ? 1,80. Then follow instoctions given above.


from highway take exit 'Salzburg mitte' (Salzburg centre) towards the inner city. Always straight ahead.

After about 4 kilometres you have to go through a trainunderpass (Gabelsbergerstrasse). After the tunnel turn right at the 2nd big crossing. Paracelsusstrasse 9.
