overall: a great choise
The JUFA Salzburg was definitely the most delightful Youth hostel experience I have ever had (especially in Europe). We (3 of us) were in a three bed dorm (one double and one bunker) and the room was extremely clean, well aerated and well furnished. To top it all there was a private bath and toilet. The room also had a television, private cupboards and plug points. The beds were clean, comfortable and warm with a small bedside lamp. The JUFA had quite a party going on downstairs (it was a Saturday evening) but the noise did not disturb much and we all slept well. The morning was extremely pleasant as we woke up to a wonderful view of the mountains and a scrumptious breakfast. The hostel location is perfect for sightseeing as it is close to the old city (5 mins by walk) and is a short bus journey from the train station (Bus 3,5 and 25, less than 10 mins by bus).
All in all it was much better than I expected and definitely makes me want to visit Salzburg again!!

I think that the Youth and Family Guesthouse in Salzburg was really lovely. The staff were all really friendly and I miss them dearly. They were really helpful and presented a warm and friendly welcome.
The location was ideal as it was in close walking distance to all local amenties. The facilities were fantastic as there was many facilities in good working order. The showers were lovely and hot and clean everyday of my stay.
The accommodation cost was very reasonable and overall the service was very satisfactory.
Many Thanks
