Safina hostel is a comfortable, secure women’s hostel, located adjacent to the Wema centre home for rescued girls. With our special discounts for stays over a month, we are an ideal option for volunteers and long term visitors to the area. Located within easy reach of Mombasa town and the beach, yet well away from the tourist trail, a stay with us is a true taste of an authentic Kenyan lifestyle.

Located in Bamburi, a vibrant residential and shopping district of Mombasa, The Wema centre is a social enterprise supporting rescued street children. The hostel is located in our secure compound alongside our school and children’s home. You will find us to be both a quiet and peaceful retreat and in possession of a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Please note that because of proximity to the children’s home, we operate a strict no alcohol policy on site, however as we are just minutes from a range of local shops, cafes, bars and transport links you will not be short on entertainment options outside of the centre!
