Budget Accommodation Europe Hungary Budapest Apartments The Wee Nest Art Hostel Budapest
Come with us to celebrate Halloween. We will have a fantastic Halloween Boat Party. Are you scared enough??? If yes book with us and you will get a Free Pálinka on your arrival.
The Wee Nest art hostel was created by a group of friends and artists. We have all travelled a lot before and have always found it difficult to get to know local artists, independent films, car boot sales, alternative and English speaking theater shows or just a simple forest party simply because they are not advertised or not part of the tourist attractions. We know about all of these events and will show you a lot of Budapest that is not on the tourist trail. So if you stay with us you won’t just get a bed to sleep, but the chance to see the city from a different angle than a tourist. We have created a space where travellers can meet Hungarian arts, artists and understand the history through organized film clubs, art cinema tours and by discovering Budapest's hidden parts. We host activities such as exhibitions, literature reading nights, organize small art gallery tours, 'ruined bar' tours and Budapest by night cycling tours. Apart from alternative cultural programs we are also quite into music; if you are after jazz, electro, goa, rock or pop we know where to take you.
The Hostel is built around the concept of recycled art and most of the things are handmade. All of the beds and furniture are made out of wooden pallets, the lamp out of rope or buttons and the table is a cable drum. This is definitely something you will not have seen before and will be a memory that you take away with you.
We are located on Liszt Ferenc Square, right in the middle of Budapest's night-life and very close to the attractions. The Square is full of restaurants and bars, and just around the corner is Budapest's party street - you don't have to go far to find a good bar or club. However, if you fancy a quieter evening you can always have a beer on our 50 square meter rooftop terrace. We have something for the winter visitors too; as on the roof we have a wee warm glass room filled with cushions, pillows and candles and while drinking mulled wine you can stay warm but enjoy the snowy Budapest.
We are small, friendly and really open minded people; we believe that the space, programs and the atmosphere we have created is not similar to anything else. It is a little nest in the middle of the buzzing nightlife of Budapest.
We have 3 rooms each with 4 single beds, we have no bunk beds, as we want each room to be airy, free and comfortable. All the items (from the bed till the lamp) in the rooms are hand made and recycled. So all you will see is original, different and something Hungarian. The price includes free wifi, breakfast, book exchange, breakfast, film clubs, rooftop party and the current exhibition.
