HappyHostel, the best place for happy people!
HappyHostel apartments and rooms are located in the centre of Vienna in two buildings close together in a quiet and safe residential area. The property is only a 3 minutes walk from the west railway station, the subway and tramway stations and the much loved shopping area - 'Mariahilfer Straße'. St. Stephans place is just 6-8 minutes by subway (U3) and by U6/U4 it's only 10 minutes to the Palace and Zoo Schönbrunn.
Individual travellers are welcomed here, as are couples, families with children or groups looking for a cheap and comfortable stay in Vienna. In the HappyHostel you can avail of the quiet and privacy of your own apartment. In the rooms you enjoy also your privacy, and maximum three rooms share one bathroom and kitchen.
All the apartments ensuite are equipped with private kitchen, private bathroom/shower/toilet, and cable TV. Also the rooms with no ensuite are equipped with cable TV. Additional services for all guests are available for a small charge. These include a laundromat, a dryer and a personal computer with free internet access and telephone/fax.

The reception is 24 hours available. There is a luggage storage.
Check out time 10:00 am. Check-in at any time.

We have stayed in HappyHostel - Vienna in October 2009 for 4 nights.
Everything is OK, we had a good room, normal bathroom, clean kithchen. One of the advantages is free Internet on the reception. Location is near the centre of Vienna. People on the reception are friendly and polite.
And of course the accomodation is very cheap (22 Euro pro person/day).
But there are some disadvantages:
The "double"-bed is too small for 2 persons, and it is not new (it is very loud). The walls are not so clean as they may be.

Conditions
1) The estimated arrival time must be notified to us
(24 hours system. Exemple: 11:00am = 11:00, 11:00pm = 23:00)!
2) If the actual arrival time will be more then five hours later, it is requested to call or to inform us by e-mail, otherwise the room become available for other guests.
3) Cancellation minimum 24 hours prior to arrival day. For group bookings it is 72 hours.
In case of to late cancellation or no show we charge the amount for the first night.
In case of no show of group bookings we charge for every night we could not rent the rooms to other people.
4) No smoking in the apartments, rooms and common areas.
5) Paying by credit or debit card we charge 2 % for the service.

Directions
How do you find HappyHostel?
When you arrive by train at the west railway station (Westbahnhof) you see in front the 'Gürtel' street. Cross it and then turn right hand and follow it for about 200 meters till the tall building of Hotel IBIS. Just before the Hotel you turn left in the Kurzgasse. Follow it about 50 meters and you see at your left HappyHostel (house nr. 2, corner to Aegidigasse).
If you arrive by train to the south railway station, take tramway 18 at the front - direction Urban-Loritz-Platz - and go to the Marihilfer Gürtel stop. Cross the road and follow the Kurzgasse in the left of the Hotel Ibis for about 50 metes till n° 2.
If you arrive by car, follow the indications 'Gürtel', 'Gürtel West' and Westbahnhof'. On the Mariahilfer Gürtel direction west railway station turn to your right after the Hotel Ibis just before the Hotel Mercure. You come in the Aegidigasse and on the next corner right hand you see the Kurzgasse.
Attention: There is paid parking in front of the building and in the whole district (working days from 9 am to 10 pm). Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are free.
The Apollo garage is just a 10 minute walk away and there are free parking places outside of the Gürtel.
If you arrive by plane to Vienna airport Schwechat take the airport transfer bus to the west railway station and then you follow the directions above.
If you arrive by plane to airport Bratislava take the shuttle bus to Vienna/Erdberg and go by underground U3 to Westbahnhof and follow the directions above.
If you arrive by international busstation Vienna Erdberg, take U3 to Westbahnhof and then follow the directions above.
