We have all sorts of accommodations to appeal to everyone from 4-8 bed dorms (both mixed and single sex) where you can use your own sheets or sleeping bag or rent ours for only 2- for the first night. We also have beds in double bed, 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 bed rooms including linens and several new rooms with private shower and toilets in the room).
If you cannot find availability for a specific night and want to extend your stay, this is usually possible! Please just remember to ask before or upon check-in! Thanks!

Very friendly, helpful, knowledgable, professional staff, very good customer service. Comfortable, clean rooms, a computer is available with tourist information for Vienna but the internet is charged at 2 euros for 45mins. There is a downstairs toilet and shower room which is useful if you check out early and free lockers are available. These are very nice and thoughtful touches! The hotel is in quite a good location about 4 minutes from the Westbahnhof train and metro station, and 2 mins from a tram stop, tickets are 1 euro 80 for 1 hour, a day ticket is under 5 euros for 1 day. The transport system is integrated. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the centre and 20 minutes walk from schloss schonbrunn. It's only 2 minutes from three small supermarkets. It's a reasonable price for Vienna (which is an expensive city.)

good hostel!
Brilliant hostel, I can't fault this place at all. Wonderful owner, friendly helpful, knowledgable staff. Great atmosphere, great cheap breakfast, comfy clean beds, sink in room, clean bathrooms. Perfect. Cant wait to go back!

It´s near the railwaystation and it´s easy to find. The service is exellent and the room are nice. We will come back if we visit Wien again. My english is bad .. but I hope that you understand that we liked Hostel Ruthensteiner..!

Nice place with very good atmosphere (insofar as I saw; stayed here with friends, which always makes one pay less attention to the hostel itself). Close to the westbahnhof, which is a useful location, if a bit far from the real center of town. Free WiFi was yay!
My only gripe with the place was that it was rather noisy; sounds echoed down the hallway and the door to my room didn't stop any of it; you could hear every word spoken by groups of people coming up to their rooms late at night, as well as the vacuuming (?) outside the rooms around 7 AM.Still, I'd probably stay here again.
