Hotel Playa Garza, Nosara, Costa Rica

The hotel is located in Playa Garza only 50m from the beach. The beautiful shape of the bay is in the perfect setting , it’s white sandy beach with calm water…it looks like a dream.

Playa Garza Hotel is a small hotel in the middle of the nature where people can relax and escape from the city and from the routine. Garza village looks like a sleepy little village where nothing, it seems, has changed for a long, long time. You can take a nice walk on the beach and feel the peace or enjoy the nature and all your problems seem to no matter anymore. During your walks you can see Howler monkeys hanging from the tree and iguanas taking in the sun in the most unexpected places. Life is just Pure in Garza which is why every person you’ll meet here will tell you PURA VIDA!

Garza is also the perfect place for fisherman and for charter boats, as it is a wonderful natural harbor. If you like sportfishing, you are definitely in the right place; Marlin and Swordfish are a common prize, while Tuna, red snapper, wahoo are abundant and very easy to catch. The best time for fishing is from december until April as there’s not as much wind.

We have very nice clean rooms with A/C, internet access (very fast),hot water, excellent pool to swim and enjoy the sounds of the birds. You will also love our fresh fish (caught daily) in our restaurant. We make international food and of course Italian cuisine as we are Italian. Delicious pasta, rice and fish or meat on the bbq are our speciality.

Each room at Nosara Playa Garza Hotel has bright, Costa Rican-style décor. All rooms have a fan, free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. Air conditioning is available in some rooms for an additional cost.

There are three different ways to reach us:

BY AIRPLANE: there are two international airports in Costa Rica, the Liberia international airport (LIR), and the San Jose international airport. Both count with frequent flights from USA, Canada and Europe. The closest airport to Playa Garza Hotel is Liberia, which can be reached with a 2 hours drive in a panoramic route.

From San Jose airport there are daily flights to Liberia (Sansa Air or NatureAir) that cost 95$ one way.

BY BUS:

from San Jose (Alfaro) tel 2222-2666

BY CAR:

from San Jose you have to take the A27 highway (it’s much faster than the interamericana but you’ll have to pay the toll so be carefull to have some local money with you) and take the Caldera exit. From here you have to take the interamericana till the “Amistad” bridge, after passing it you’ll be in the town of Nicoya. From Nicoya, follow the signs to get to Samara. Five kms before getting to Samara, you’ll see a “Nosara” sign, take the dirt road and the first beach you´ll see is Playa Garza, where our Hotel is situated.

During the trip you’ll see some beautiful signs made by us that will drive you to the hotel.
