At one time the residence of Duke Salviati and the laboratory of the scientist Galileo Galilei, the building has been newly renovated. And, while the exceptional characteristics of the historic building have been maintained, it has been made more functional by the addition of modern comforts such as a lift and en suite bedrooms with telephone, satellite colour TV, air conditioning and hairdryer.
