3rd world prison. enough said. been travelling for 3 months now and this is the most expensive place we have stayed in and without doubt the worst place we have stayed in. am not sure i could put into words how bad it was. for starters we paid for a en-suite. got there no ensuite and the shared showers was worse than anything i have ever encountered. they was just 1 communal block of showers, no privacy they were freezing cold and right next to the cubicles so had creepy people continually coming in and out. toilets were disgusting also. the rooms were even worse. they was about 2 metres by 2 metres and all you could fit in was 2 single beds. got bitten constantly all night, god knows when they last changed there sheets. there was no ceiling, and all that seperated the rooms from each other was a 8 foot bit of plasterboard (that wasnt painted) so any1 could just climb into your room. didnt feel safe 1 little bit. because there was no ceiling to the room there was a constant light all night that was used to light up the corridor. internet didnt work either. i know ive made it sound bad but its even worse than that trust me, it was horrible,. we got up early the next day and left straight away it was horrendous. i booked this because it had a few good reviews. i can only think its the owners who have Done these reviews because nobody in there rght mind could possibly like this place. there was a few travellers we spoke to in the morning who was trying to get there money back and leave early, it wasnt just us it was everyone! a total dump! only plus point was that they Was very helpful in arrangeing travel for us to go south off the isalnd probally because they wanted us to come back here when we got back to colombo. NO CHANCE!!!!
