Fantastic! Clean, good value and right near the metro
A night stay. Location wise is good and I am very impressed upon reaching this hostel. I enjoyed my breakfast buffet portion and the reading light by my bed (upper deck) here. Would definitely stay here again.

An awesome hostel! Huge rooms so you don't feel like you're always tripping over one another, ensuite bathrooms that were cleaned every day, in house bar and breakfast available and super close to public transport options. What more could you ask for. I definitely recommend Wombats and would look at staying at their other hostels based on my experience with this one.

This hostel has excellent facilities and feels secure (large lockers in the rooms, pass-activated doors between main area and bedrooms). It is clean with trendy decor, and a lively place to stay. It is possible to find more privacy for your money elsewhere in Vienna if that is what you are after- the same priced bed in a smaller room - but this hostel is great for meeting other people.

I love Wombats! It is a great hostel chain and you always know what you are going to get. Rooms are comfortable and clean, with modern furniture and ensuite bathrooms. Loved the option of a women's only wing. Plenty of computers with internet access, laundry facilities, great bar and breakfast room. The hostel had plenty of info on local activities, excursions into other parts of Austria and restaurants/bars/nightclubs. Front desk will charge electronics for you and let you borrow guidebooks. Service was great and very professional. The hostel was just a couple of blocks from Westbanhof but a little way outside the historic city center. Plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here or at any other Wombats again!

We stayed at the Wombat Lounge for one night, and were very impressed.
We had a double room with en-suite, and it was much better and cheaper than all the other hostels we'd been staying in.
The reception staff were great, and it was a great area to hang out in, with big sofas, TV, pool table, vending machines, chill out area, a great vibe.
The bar in the basement was great fun - good atmosphere and happy hours!!
They also do a buffet breakfast for 3.70 euros, which was a really welcomed service. Was very tasty and plenty of variety.
Close to a train station and has frequent trams running closeby so great location for further travelling and visiting local areas.
All in all, it was a totally great hostel and would defo recommend to anyone. It was better than some hotels we'd stayed at!!

Let's Go Europe said we are a 'Brand-new hostel, immaculate rooms, in-the-know staff'.
Our state-of-the-art building has an imperial facade dating from 1880 - be where technology meets tradition and let us meet your expectations!
We're centrally located and close to the trains and public transport, right on Mariahilferstrasse, the longest shopping street in Vienna, only 50 metres away from the Westbahnhof railway station.
All our rooms come with comfy wooden beds, private shower and toilet facilities. Rates include free bed sheets and towels and there's free lockers in every room.
Our lounge is a giant comfort zone with all standards and extras you need to relax, get informed, communicate, socialize and chill. Our lively Wombar serves cheap drinks and food but is beneath sound-proof brick vaults in the basement, so no noise will keep you from having a good night's sleep.
Cooking some dinner? There's free pasta, tea, coffee, spices and more in our guest kitchen. Please note that our rates don't include breakfast. An all-you-can-eat continental buffet brekkie costs 3.80 EUR. You don't need to reserve breakfast; just come around to the reception in the morning if you're hungry.

We offer maximum security with smartcard access for the front door, the floors, the rooms and your locker.
There's free Wi-Fi in the lobby and bar as well as free travel guide books, free luggage storage, free condoms and a free welcome drink. Other facilities include internet terminals and laundry.
We also have loads and loads of free brochures about tours, sights, accommodation and other destinations in Europe, plus free maps of Vienna, Munich and Berlin.
Reception is open 24hrs and there's no age limit, no curfew, no lockout and no stupid rules. We've travelled the world ourselves - so we know first-hand what you're doing and what you expect from us. We care for you and we care for your feedback.
We make sure that you will feel safe and welcome here. When you've been on the road all day long, seeing sights and walking and walking, it's cool to have a nice scene at the hostel where you can have some beers, talk and make friends. This will make your stay a memorable one! Many traveller stayed quite a bit longer than primarily intended.
You may find an even cheaper place to crash in town, but none where you get more value for your money.

If you need to change the dates of your booking or cancel, please let us know only via email (office@wombats-vienna.at) up to the day before arrival.
We need to know your name and the reference number of your reservation in order to help you!
2.
As this is a guaranteed booking (we keep your reservation no matter what arrival time you have selected) we have to charge the worth of your first night's stay on your credit card in case of no-show.
3.
After your stay, you will receive an email which gives you the chance to let us know what you liked and what you didn't like. We appreciate your feedback! Quite a few things you'll find in our hostel were not our idea - your fellow travellers suggested them!
Please note: no check-in before 2pm (we need to clean the rooms first!). You can leave your luggage in our storage room though and come back later.
