Extremely nice place to stay - it was perfectly clean, amazingly spacious, simply but beautifully furnished, and nice and quiet, with very friendly and helpful staff. One of us speaks Italian, but we also found that the principle staff do speak excellent English. We paid about 77 euros/night (double room, shared bathroom, no breakfast), which for Rome is really very good. Our room faced onto a lovely, classically Roman inner courtyard, which meant we could sleep with the windows open without being bothered by noise at night; it also included a fridge, which was nice since we stayed for a few days. The bed was firm but very comfortable. There is a free computer for guests to use. The shared bathrooms were cleaned several times throughout the day, and so were pretty much always spotless. Also, with two bathrooms for four rooms, we never encountered a queue. The only negatives: (1) This didn't really bother us since we were familiar with Rome already and knew what to expect, but the distance to key sites is not as short as described. Termini station is slightly more than 5 minutes away, but the other sites are much more than 10 minutes. Actually, anyone who knows Rome will tell you that given how far apart the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Trevi fountain are from each other, it wouldn't be possible for them all to be just 10 minutes away! However, the proximity to Termini and also to Castro Pretorio and Repubblica metro stations is invaluable, and unlike some other areas around Termini, this is a nice safe area. (2) It would be nice to have two keys when there are two guests, but we realize this isn't always the norm. (3) We had some problems accessing secure (https) sites on the computer terminal, which made it essentially useless for e-mail. However, there is also free wireless if you bring your own computer.

We enjoyed the location and overall cleanliness but would have liked more clean towels and shower gel to be provided (we stayed for 7 nights). The shutters had to be closed all the time as we were facing another building which made it a bit dark. It would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. A few mornings the water was not hot but overall a good place to stay and friendly staff.

This is an incredible b&b. It was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. The breakfast was unbelievably good and a treat each morning. It was so quiet at night, yet located within easy walking distance of all the sights. We had such a romantic and restful trip. Thanks A&C, we are already planning on returning!

We left from Paris to Rome hoping that the hotel in Rome is good. We got more than we expected. We highly recommend this hotel. Room is big, clean and very comfortable. It is near to Temini and Metro (10 mins walk).
Imaging the service : they brought me free champagne to my room for my birthday.
