Ski Out - Ski Home....Eugene and Margaret welcome you to Haus Ashling, a small but friendly Irish owned B&B situated at the bottom of the Schmittenhohe mountain in the beautiful resort of Zell am See. During the ski season there is a minimum stay of 7 nights.

All our rooms have en-suite facilities, cable TV, radio and hairdryer. Rooms booked through Hostel World are Standard Private rooms without balcony or lake view. We do however have a terrace where you can enjoy views of the lake and town of Zell-am-See, the lake and surrounding Mountains. Buffet breakfast is included in price. Free WiFi internet access available.

We are located five minutes walk to the town centre of Zell am See. However, the return journey is an 8 minute walk, included in which there is a 3 minute steep walk up our driveway from the public road. Our driveway may prove challenging for elderly people and is not suitable for wheelchair or buggy access.

For Guests with cars there are 4 acute bends on the driveway and can be challenging but not impossible to negotiate with a two wheel drive car. There is a parking area at the bottom of the driveway and at the house where you can park free of charge.

For the comfort and relaxation of our guests, we have a small Resident's Bar where you can socialize with other Guests and discuss your day's activities over a Beer, Glass of Wine, etc. There are also some Board games and Playing cards available to the Guests in this room.

Summer activities include, swimming, watersports, cycling, hill-walking, paragliding, river-rafting and summer ski-ing. If you would like a more relaxing time you can stroll along the lake shore and then enjoy afternoon tea/coffee in one of the many Austrian Coffee Shops where the cakes are just sinful. Winter activities include ski-ing to and from Haus Ashling. Glacier ski-ing in the nearby Kitzsteinhorn. Snow-boarding, Sleigh rides, Ice-skating or watching the local Ice Hockey team.

In the Winter/Ski season we only accept bookings for 7 days on a Saturday to Saturday basis. For shorter stays a supplement of 10 Euro per room applies.

We operate a 7 Day cancellation Policy.

Please note that there is a local Guest Tax of 1 Euro per person per night.
