A few minutes walk from the Central Station a well known cosy hostel at the 'short head' of the eldest shopping street in town, the Nieuwendijk. Aroza is surrounded by a lot of bars, restaurants, shops of all kinds and there is a supermarket next door, all open 7 days a week.

Right in the centre of town near the Central Station with all its connections (f.i rent-a bike, canal boat tours, buses, trams, taxis) our hostel offers you all kinds of possibilities to explore our city. A lot of museums and interesting sites are within walking distance.

Travelling time is short to popular places like Volendam, Marken and the Zaanstreek.

Since 1988 we accommodate guests from all over the world, both young and old, mainly backpackers.

We have male, female and mixed dorms, every room/dorm with its own en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.

A towel and bed linen are included.

In the lobby we serve hot and cold drinks. There is a pool table and a tv you can make use of free Wi-Fi and internet (pay by hour).

No curfew, no lock-out.

Taxes are included in the price.

Warning: One should not expect a trendy fashionable clean dutch design hostel. Aroza isn't. We just do our best to give you the basics at low price. We try to be flexible, but with only 9 rooms it might not be easy sometimes to fullfill all your wishes.

There are lockers available for those who booked in shared rooms (buy a lock or bring your own) as well as a free safety deposit box behind the desk to keep small valuables.

N.B.Please take notice while booking:

Our 'female' dorms are for girls only. If you are a male person, please, avoid booking in these dorms. Female persons should avoid booking in the 'male' dorms. Your booking will not be accepted by us, all though we shall try to move you into an other room if you've made the mistake. If your booking is cancelled by us because we cannot offer you an alternative your reservation costs will not be restituted to you.

Cancelation:

In case of cancelation within 48 hours of arrival or in case of no show we have to charge you on your credit card for the first day of your reservation.

And according to the conditions of Hostelsclubs' booking engine the 10% 'reservation costs' and 2 euros 'fee' are not refundable if you cancel the booking, no matter at what time.

Aroza Hostel has 9 dorm rooms 4 beds,6 beds and 8 beds, and can sleep a total of 63 poeple.

The private room for max 4 people.

Bed sheets and linen are provided ans all rooms is with a bathroom (hot shower).

Every morning a free breakfast.

From the airport: you can get a taxi for 30 or 40 euro,or take the train for 4 euro to amsterdam central station.
