This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This was my worst camping experience EVER!!
We got a cheap on site tent. Just wanted a place to sleep after visiting rome. However
It was placed next to the bar that played really loud music till after midnight. When I tried to
Explane that it wasn't working for us the staff won't willing to
Help find a suitable solution. Don't go there unless you want to
Party all night.

My daughter and I recently stayed at camping fabulous for 5 nights. We have stayed at this site 4 times in the past, staying with Keycamp and also with our own tent, but this was the first time in the ready to stay tents. the tents themselves are quite a good size, having two single beds, laminate flooring and all inclusive electric, sheets, pillows and throw. Very basic, but to be honest its all you need in the hot summer months. Just somewhere to sleep. Excellent for short stays, as no cooking facilities provided, cant complain at that though as the price we paid (£15.50 for 2 people per night) was fantastic. I would never again pay the over inflated prices of lets say keycamp or canvas, this was more than adequate. The site itself is first class, we love it there, pool is fantastic, so easy to get to, no car needed. So close to Rome city centre, and an easy bus and metro ride in. The staff are really friendly, and the restaurant serves excellent food, prices for made to order pizza start at 6 euro (same price to eat in or takeaway), the Gelateria is a great addition to this site. Shower block is clean and has everything you need. I highly recommend at stay at this great site.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

It was great value, for 30 euro a night the two of us were able to stay in a little bungalow. Very close to the city and the transit system is easy and quick to use! The rooms weren't exactly luxurious, but they're clean and comfortable. The campsite itself was very cute and we found the gelato shop/cafe the best place to be. The restaurant was nice and affordable as well in-between 6-9 euro for a meal. Overall it was a great place to stay and we will be going back.

My ownly regret while staying at this facility was not having enough time to enjoy the campground. if I ever return to Rome, I would definitely return to this campground because it is a lovely place with lots of fun things to do.

Very good value for money accommodation and situated nicely, just south west of Roma. A 30 minute journey will put you on the door step of the Colosseum and firmly on the tourist trail for the rest of the cities amazing sites. The site staff were very helpful/friendly and spoke good English, resolving queries very promptly. There is a good bar/restaurant and a well stocked onsite shop for essentials (3 x 66cl peroni lager at 5 euros!). Overall very satisfied and I found it to be a very pleasant experience. Thank you very much indeed.

We went in early April and the place wsn't really open properly. Accomodation very basix, we were cold and disturbed half the night by the youngsters next door!

No excursions were on, it was a long way from the centre of Rome and the resteraunt was basic and lacking in atmosphere.

After one night we left - and went to a lovely hotel in the middle of Rome - so I lost quite a bit of money - but at least enjoyed our holiday in the end.

Simple but clean and nicely priced place to stay when you visit Rome. Good to reach by public transport. Only the time you have to wait for the bus strongly varies.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

I loved this place. I was staying in Rome for a wedding and felt it would be more fun to have cheap accommodation and hire a car than stay in central Rome at a premium without transport. Camping Fabulous is a great place to base yourself if you want to explore this part of Italy, I visited Frascati, the stunning Castel Gandolfo and nearby lake and the southern beaches - all were within a 30mins or so drive once I got used to the map! As it was September I paid only £10 a night and got an air conditioned chalet all to myself. Usually the price is for sharing with two others, and I'm sure that would have been fine too, it's basic but comfortable, I got several very good night's sleep. The camping complex itself has all the basics - a decent shop, a bar and restaurant and internet cafe, and the swimming pool was really fabulous ;) google it to find pics - it's really a sweet place to hang out and I was happy to be there all day sunbathing and taking the occasional dip in the open air jacuzzi! The site staff were more than helpful, both the lovely day reception ladies and the kind man on night duty who escorted me to my bungalow in the golf buggy after my late night flight arrival (no cars on site between 23:00 and 07:00). In conclusion - a very reasonably priced chalet in the woods at the end of a long road out of Rome and for me it was the perfect budget option.

Happy over all, but hot and cold water didnt work very well in our rooms shower so had to use the camping ground ones.
Also didnt sleep very well as its very close to the main road.
Pools were very cool tho.
Very easy to get a bus as well
