Plus Camping Fabulous is no ordinary hostel in Rome, with all the services you would expect and some fantastic bonuses that no other youth hostel can offer. - Single private Ensuite:
Modern, comfortable rooms that sleep 2 people (2 single beds) and come with their own shower, toilet, storage space, airconditioning, fridge and electrical outlets (private use)
- Twin private Ensuite:
Modern, comfortable rooms that sleep 2 people (2 single beds) and come with their own shower, toilet, storage space, fridge, airconditioning and electrical outlets.
- Triple private Ensuite:
These are modern, comfortable sized rooms that sleep up to 3 people (2 single beds and a high sleeper) and come with their own shower and toilet, storage space, fridge, air conditioning and electrical outlets.
- 3 Bed Mixed Dorm Ensuite:
These are modern, comfortable sized rooms that sleep up to 3 people (2 single beds and a high sleeper) and come with their own shower and toilet, storage space, fridge, air conditioning and electrical outlets.
- Basic 2 Bed Shared and Private Tent:
a tent can be private or dormitory accommodation based outdoors, comfortable house tents with real beds and pillows. All our tents are lockable with their own key.
All accommodations are provided of bed linen.
Plus Camping Fabulous is just 35mins from the centre of Rome and 20mins from the stunning coast of Ostia. The location is ideal for those who wish to explore the Roman ruins of Ostia Antica, take time out of the city to relax on the beach or spend some time in the Eternal city, without the hassle of staying in the crowded centre.
We organize excursions into Rome (tours like Rome by night, Ostia Antica, Tivoli) and a daytrip to Pompei & Naples (during the period: May September).
It's possible as well to book by email a transfer from the airports (at least 48hrs before arrival date). Price per person is 12,00 - 15,00 (depending on arrival time).

Reception is open 24hrs, check in starts at 01.00 pm and check-out is by 10.00 am.
Cancellations must be done at least 24hrs before checkin to avoid being charged for your first night's stay. If you are leaving late feel free to put your bags in the lockup to catch a few extra rays by the pool.

I loved this place. I was staying in Rome for a wedding and felt it would be more fun to have cheap accommodation and hire a car than stay in central Rome at a premium without transport. Camping Fabulous is a great place to base yourself if you want to explore this part of Italy, I visited Frascati, the stunning Castel Gandolfo and nearby lake and the southern beaches - all were within a 30mins or so drive once I got used to the map! As it was September I paid only £10 a night and got an air conditioned chalet all to myself. Usually the price is for sharing with two others, and I'm sure that would have been fine too, it's basic but comfortable, I got several very good night's sleep. The camping complex itself has all the basics - a decent shop, a bar and restaurant and internet cafe, and the swimming pool was really fabulous
google it to find pics - it's really a sweet place to hang out and I was happy to be there all day sunbathing and taking the occasional dip in the open air jacuzzi! The site staff were more than helpful, both the lovely day reception ladies and the kind man on night duty who escorted me to my bungalow in the golf buggy after my late night flight arrival (no cars on site between 23:00 and 07:00). In conclusion - a very reasonably priced chalet in the woods at the end of a long road out of Rome and for me it was the perfect budget option.
Happy over all, but hot and cold water didnt work very well in our rooms shower so had to use the camping ground ones.
Also didnt sleep very well as its very close to the main road.
Pools were very cool tho.
Very easy to get a bus as well

HOW TO REACH US:
From Termini railway station
From the main train station Roma Termini, you have to take metro line B (in the direction of Laurentina) until the stop EUR FERMI, from where you can take bus n.709 or n. 070 to the camping.
From the airport of Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci
Take the train to Termini train station. At Termini you have to change and take metro line B (in the direction of Laurentina) until the stop EUR FERMI, from where you can take bus n.709 or n. 070 to the camping.
From the airport of Ciampino
From Ciampino Airport you have to go to Termini station, therefore are 2 possibilities:
- Take from the airport the shuttle bus to the metro station Anagina, where you can take the metro line A to Termini.
- Take from the airport the "Terravision-bus" directly to Termini station.
At Termini you have to take metro line B (in the direction of Laurentina) until the stop EUR FERMI, from where you can take bus n.709 or n. 070 to the camping.
From both airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) we can organize a shuttle-service exclusively for our guests:
To make a reservation, just send an e-mail.
The booking must be done at least 48 hours before your arrival date. Reservations for the shuttle from the campsite to the airport (departure) can be made at reception once you are on site.
As a confirmation we will send you a voucher of your taxi-reservation. You have to show this voucher to the driver.

From the motorway A1, coming from Firenze (Florence)
Follow the indications for "Aeroporto di Fiumicino". At the Ring road (Grande Raccordo Anulare) take exit n. 27 "Via Cristoforo Colombo" in the direction of "Ostia". After approx 5 km (at the 18 km-mark on Via Cristoforo Colombo) you have to turn right at the traffic lights: after 250m to your right side there is our campsite located.
From the motorway A1, coming from Napoli (Naples) or from the A24
Follow the indications for "Aeroporti". At the Ring road (Grande Raccordo Anulare ) take exit n. 26 for "EUR". In front of the sportpalace "Palalottomatica" you have to make an U-turn following the indications for "Ostia". After approx 5 km (at the 18 km-mark on Via Cristoforo Colombo) you have to turn right at the traffic lights: after 250m to your right side there is our campsite located.
