This is a Trusted Review. Why?
The owner, Stefano, runs a great little b&b for travellers on a budget. He's a pleasant, personable guy who wants to make your stay enjoyable.
My room was a fair-sized twin with en-suite toilet/shower, both spotless, and the kitchen if open for the guests' usage. There's free wi-fi plus a house computer available, too, and the place is modestly but tastefully decorated.... more

I happened to stay here during a period of exceptionally warm weather and the room was extremely hot. Opening a window was pointless as there was no breeze to be had anyway.
This leads on to a second issue. Casa Mia is situated on the main road out of Siena to Roma, so traffic noise will be an ever-present problem to some. Having said that, I was exhausted and slept pretty well - the high summer heat was the greater problem for me by far.
The old town is a short walk away, about 600m to the Porta Romana and the city walls, then another (hilly) kilometre, approximately, to the Piazza del Campo, but several buses do run right by the property. I recommend the journey by foot, though, as Siena is a city full of architectural and historical interest - and great vistas, too.
