The magic and charm of nineteenth-century Tuscany and the irresistible allure of Chianti's colours can all be found at Hotel Arcobaleno, which is situated in an enchanting country villa from the 1800s at the gate of Camollia (old wall of Siena downtown)All rooms have the indispensable modern comforts and are equipped with full amenities: full private bathroom wi-fi connection direct dial phone cable colour TV (32 channels) air conditioning / individual heating The hotel has a garden, a wine bar, an internet point in the lobby, play area, two free parking areas for guests, a garage and the traditional restaurant, 'Vecchio Pozzo', located in the cellar and serving the cuisine of Tuscany Region. So, the nineteenth-century Vecchio Pozzo (old well) that is built into the structure of Hotel Arcobaleno offers our guests a unique opportunity. The well, which was dug out of the villa's stone granaries, has been expertly converted to allow private business breakfasts, romantic dinners and special meetings take place in a magical setting. The environment is discreet, private and truly enjoyable. The old brick silo that was originally constructed to collect water has been converted into three rooms, each on a separate level and each with its own comfortable round table. These dining areas are accessible by a charming winding stairway that allows exploration of the entire depth of the well. Reservations are required for dinner in the well. During both summer and winter, the restaurant is open every day of the week except Sunday.

We were completely thrilled with our stay at Hotel Arcobaleno and would pass on a high recommendation to anyone planning to stay in the area. The hotel was so cute and clean, the location is perfect--only a 10 minute walk to the city gates and right on the bus route to Florence--the restaurant was SO good and had great prices and most of all the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. Most of the staff speak fluent English and all of their recommendations were excellent (**make sure to eat at least one meal at Nonna Gina's Osteria in Siena!!). The continental breakfast is better than most places with fresh fruit and great cappuccinos. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and would stay there again in a second.
