The staff were a little cold but efficient nevertheless. I also think it was a little off being charged extra to use the fridge in our room. On the other hand, it's a short taxi ride from the train station and a short walk to the town centre. The "beach" is very small, but it's sandy, the sea is warm, and the view is beautiful. It's also situated very, very close to this hotel.

Hotel Del Mare is situated in one of the most picturesque corner of Marina Grande, the old fishing village as well as the main beach of Sorrento.
The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and a regular bus service is also available.
The hotel has been fully renovated: a sophisticated system of 'property management' together with advanced safety devices, place the hotel among the best three-star hotels of the area.

From the airport 'Napoli Capodichino' you can reach Sorrento with the Circumvesuviana, or by taxi or by bus from the railway station of Naples 'Stazione Garibaldi'.
From Hotel Del Mare Sorrento, along the beach and then up the 5th Century Greek Door and its charming stairway, you can reach directly the main centre in about 15/20 minutes walk. Distance from railway station about 20 minutes walking distance, buses operate every 30 minutes. Public transport to and from Piazza Tasso is very frequent.
