I booked a cabin in this park from Australia before arriving in Italy based on reviews and their blog and everything I had read was true... except I didn't read about just HOW blue and clear the sea is from there or how beautiful, quaint and private the little rocky beach is.

Resort Campogaio Santafortunata is one of the most beautiful tourist structures, located in a very nice and quite position amongst olive, oak and lemon-groves with a beautiful panoramic view on the Bay of Naples, on Vesuvius and on the nearby town of Sorrento.
It is situated about 1.5 Km from the centre of Sorrento connected by public transport to the most important tourist towns of the area such us: Pompeij, Positano, Amalfi, Naples and Capri.
Facilities of a bar, Minimarket, Restaurant-Pizzeria await you with a large room with wonderful views of the sea. There is a swimming pool with solarium in a nice valley, a characteristic rocky beach with view of mount Vesuvius reachable by foot through a small shady path of about 300 m.
Our international atmosphere and English speaking friendly and energetic staff helps make us a backpacker's heaven!

oResort CAMPOGAIO towards 08.30 am and sail to Faraglioni which takes about 40 minutes, during which you can admire the beauty of the Bay of Naples. Disembark at Marina Piccola on the Island of Capri for about a 5 hour visit or from Marina Piccola embark and follow the tour of the island admiring Villa Curzio Malaparte, L’Arco Naturale, The White Grotto, the Wonderful Grotto and the Salto di Tiberio or you could join the splendour of the BLUE GROTTO for an optional visit for about half an hour. Return to Resort CAMPOGAIO at around 18.00.

- Upon arrival at the hostel, you must pay the full balance due IN CASH.

How you can get to Campogaio:
Arrive at Naples Train Station “Piazza Garibaldi”. On the basement floor take the “Circumvesuviana” to Sorrento. The journey takes about 1 hour after which you can take a taxi or public transport , the orange “circumvesuviana”, Line A bus, destination Capo di Sorrento, which will take you to the front of the Resort CAMPOGAIO building.

After taking the A2 Roma-Napoli, follow the signs to the Pensisola Sorrentina after taking the A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria. Exit at Castellammare di Stabia and follow to Sorrento. After passing through the city of Sorrento, take the s.s. 145 towards Massa Lubrense, running along Via Capo. After about 1.5 km you will reach Resort CAMPOGAIO, no. 39, in the area of Sorrento, called Capo Di Sorrento.

I booked a cabin in this park from Australia before arriving in Italy based on reviews and their blog and everything I had read was true... except I didn't read about just HOW blue and clear the sea is from there or how beautiful, quaint and private the little rocky beach is. I dove into the sea with Vesuvius rising up in front of me and cliffs on every side and it was FABULOUS. If you want to swim in the sea in Sorrento itself, not only do you pay 12 euro for a deck chair, but the beaches are disappointingly polluted. The reviews are NOT an overexaggeration about the fact that although Santafortunata IS only 1.5 kms out of town- a road I walked many times, but the roads are SERIOUSLY narrow and you need a good dose of courage before setting out. The bus comes right to the door but public transport seems to run on a timetable dependent on the mood of the driver and if it rains you may as well accept the fact that the city simply cant function, put on your swimsuit and walk. As for the park facilities, the staff are fabulous, my little cabin was quaint but all I needed and there were also basic cooking facilities as well as a well priced restaurant and supermarket. The pool was gorgeous and the views over Sorrento at night were beautiful. Definitely a good starting point for my travels and highly recommended.

This campsite was in a great location 15 /20 mins walk to Sorrento
The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable ( if a little compact)
The staff were more than helpful
We had a great view from our cabin over to Vesuvius - accross the Bay Of Naples
The Pizzas on site were great and good value for money --
overall very good however we did stay there when it was low season -- might be very crowded in July /August

Lovely place, lovely swimming pool, clean cabins, restaurant clean and food tasty.
Facilities all available, tables chairs, casual eating areas, Laundry.
Beach is a long way away and down a steep hill so the pool is good unless you are fit. Views from some areas of camp are splendid.
Would recommend for any age group/or family/singles etc.

The hostel has a great swimming spot. It's easy to get breakfast in the morning, or any little supplies you may need. The ride into Sorrento is quick and cheap (walking it may be a bit much, depending on heat, what you're carrying, how much time you have, etc.) The cabin is just that, but you don't spend a lot of time in it anyway. But it's tidy, and has an outdoor area, and compared to prices of staying in a hotel in Sorrento, you can't beat it.
