Hostel de Passage

Photos Facilities Map Streetview Reviews

Welcome to Hostel and Gran Kaffee De Passage. We have been listed number 1 in 'Let's Go' 13 years in a row. Recommended by' Rough Guide', 'Lonely Planet', 'Frommers' and 'Guide du Routard'.

Passage is the place to be...for it's character, personality, wonderful cosmopolitan atmosphere and typical Belgian Cuisine. We are also Bruges' most central Hostel.

All rooms were recently renovated. A stay at the Passage will give you the impression of travelling through time. That's the spirit.

Reception is open until 22:00 o'clock. If you'd be arriving later we ask you to contact us in the course of the day of your arrival in order for us to arrange for you a late check-in.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The staff was really nice and the hostel is located perfectly in the city centre. The included restaurant serves good food and drinks at reasonable prices, our room and the washing facilities were clean. The breakfast (that is not offered at the hostel) could be enjoyed at the lovely "LiOLait", which is in the direct neighbourhood - a nice and cosy place as well.

The beds were a quite hard. The shared shower was situated in the ground floor and our room was in the second floor.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

The staff in Passage hostel is very nice and it is situated in the city centre of Bruges. But unfortunately the bathroom facilities are small, too open (guests of the pub use the same toilet than the hotel guests - no intimacy while brushing your teeth etc) and there is no washing basin with the toilet in the one floor. In addition, people using the showers can smell and hear what people are doing in the toilet!
Another thing that annoyed me was the missing possibility to lock the room, especially because the pub guests are able to enter the sleeping rooms.
To end with a positive point: The staff is able to speak several languages, which is great for travellers from all over the world.
