I stayed only for a day so my perception of the place could be a bit misleading. Anyway I found the place quite nice and lively. Only problem was that there were only 4 showers and a single toilet for the entire floor.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay in the Bauhaus. If you are looking for 5 star en suite accommodation then this is not the place for you but if you like meeting interesting mainly young fellow travellers and are on a budget then the Bauhaus is a good place to stay. In the evening it must have had one of the busiest bars in Bruges. The staff were extremely helpful to the best of their ability and the Belgian staff spoke English almost like natives of England. The food was good although the continental breakfast is very basic but this was included in the price. If I return to Bruges in the future then I will certainly stay again at the Bauhaus.

St. Christopher's Bauhaus was a great place to stay in Bruges. It is located inside the outer circle of the canals and from the hostel it is easy to walk to the center of town. The hostel was clean and the room I stayed in was large and comfortable. It was very quiet at night. I was really impressed with the bar and restaurant attached to the hostel. Good food, good beer and you get a couple of great coupons to use when you check-in. Free wi-fi throughout the hostel was convenient. My only complaint was that there is only one toilet and shower per floor, which never seemed like enough. Overall, a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

From the train station you can take bus 6 or 16 (every 10 min.). The driver will tell you which stop you take for the Bauhaus.
Bauhaus has a public car parking in the back but if this is full there are plenty of free parking possibilities in the area.
By car or coach you enter the Old City from the Circular Road around town through the old 'Kruispoort' (Cross Gate), the medieval entry gate to Bruges next to the windmills on the city ramparts.
