As the hotel also has an entrance on one of Venice best known canals, it is possible to reach it directly by water taxi or gondola. Some rooms are overlooking the canal and others face Faccanon palace where also the famous Giacomo Casanova once lived.

Hotel Caneva has 23 rooms and 17 of them overlook a canal. It's directly managed by the owner Mr.Gino since 1955. He's helped by his son Massimo and granddaughter Valentina.

All the rooms also have large windows and some have a balcony. All the rooms are at the first floor level, and a complete maintenance of the hotel is done every year.

We look forward to your stay with us.

This is a Trusted Review. Why?

This was our second visit to Venice and the Hotel Caneva. It is well located for San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. Breakfast was a good start to the day, the only thing we missed was a kettle in our room to make a hot drink as and when we wanted one. We use Hotel Caneva because of the value for money and will certainly use it again if we return to Venice in the future.

Nice people, great location tucked away on a narrow Venice street. Breakfast was good and available till 10:00. Basically quiet, except one loud boater during the night! Couldn't beat the view from our window of the canal. Enjoyed the singing gondoliers!! Would recommend the place.

For a 1-star (ONE star) hotel it's a very nice place. Staff is friendly, location is great (5 minutes to San Marco), beds are huge, included breakfast is simple but edible, everything clean etc. 40 euro for a double room in Venice -- is incredible. Great place.
