Very decent hotel. However, the advertised free in-room Wifi only works on the 1st hotel floor (rooms 1-4 out of 12 rooms). If you're in any room numbers 5 and above, you have to hang out in between rooms on floor 1 to get internet access.
Otherwise, the place was just fine. The AC was a blessing in the Venice heat, and it was clean & comfortable. Also, a little off the beaten path, so it wasn't noisy at night.
Would recommend overall!

In 2005, Hotel 'Locanda Salieri' offers 10 rooms completely renovated, all with private bathrooms with view on the romantic canal del Gaffaro, the splendid church dei Tolentini, or the roofs of Venice.
All our rooms offer private bathroom with hairdryer, Tv, air conditioning, direct telephone, wifi Internet connection and jack for Internet.
Hotel 'Locanda Salieri' is a charming family hotel located in the city centre of Venice just 5 minutes from 'Piazzale Roma' Bus/taxi terminal and 10 minutes walking distance from the Santa Lucia Railway station within walking distance from Saint Mark's Square and Rialto.
Note: Please note we have a 3 night minimum stay for week-ends

Otherwise, the place was just fine. The AC was a blessing in the Venice heat, and it was clean & comfortable. Also, a little off the beaten path, so it wasn't noisy at night.

Directions
From Piazzale Roma to the Hotel : Hotel 'Locanda Salieri' is situated just 3 minutes walking distance from Venice Piazzale Roma.
Piazzale Roma is the Main parking for cars, terminal for busses and taxis and has it's vaporetto stop (water bus) called 'Piazzale Roma'.
From train station: If you do not have too many luggage, we suggest you walk to the Hotel 'Locanda Salieri'. It will take you 10 minutes walking normally. You need to cross the Grand Canal passing over the Ponte Dei Scalzi Bridge and then follow the arrows our well-explained map. After the Scalzi bridge, you will not have any other bridges to cross, it is a big one, but the only one!
Once on the other side, at the bottom of the bridge, turn right and go straight on leaving the Grand Canal on you right until you arrive at the foot of a little bridge. Do not go over the bridge but turn left just before it and follow the Canal dei Tolentini leaving it on your right. Go straight on, even if the canal curves, follow the curve right and then an elbow left: there you will arrive in Canal del Gaffaro (our canal!). You are now in Fondamenta Minotto - 30 meters down the street and we are on your left.
