I stayed for 2 days and 2 nights, and I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the hostel. The location was fantastic, the service was very good and the cleanliness was top-notch. They even had a mini refrigerator. I will definitely go back there again.

About Residenza Santa Croce
We’re located in the historical centre of Venice.
We have a good service and fast connection with public bus from Marco Polo (Venice airport, about 30 minutes’ trip) and Treviso (about one hour’s trip).
We feature private rooms and mixed dorms. All rooms have a private bathroom either inside the room or outside it on same floor. The rooms have basic furnishings, with colour TV, a refrigerator, fans and a heating system. We also supply linen and towels, changed every three days. During the high season a little self-service breakfast is available in your room.
Our staff are more than happy to help you find the cool spots in Venice to have a 'good old fun time' or even find quiet serene places where you can feel Venetian in Venice. Have a great stay in Venice with us!

Arrivals after midnight are accepted only if you notify us ahead of time via email - or better yet, by our mobile.
Reception is open from 8am to midnight. Please notify us of your expected arrival time so we can best facilitate you.
Check-in: 10am.
Rooms are ready from 3pm. If you arrive earlier than that you’re welcome to leave your bags in our free luggage storage.
We have a 48hr cancellation policy; late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night’s accommodation.
Since August 2011 Venice City Council has imposed a tourist tax of €3 per person per night. Unfortunately this is not including in the room rates and shall be added to your balance upon arrival; please include this in your budget considerations. The tax does not need to be paid for children under 10 years of age and the tax is reduced by 50% for children between 11 and 16 years of age and during low season. If you are staying for a longer period, tax is only due for the first five nights.

Stayed Oct 16-17
Location – apartment transformed into small hotel, not the same address as the main office, 2 floor. Nearby railway station and bus terminal, however quiet and safe. Far enough from San-Marco and the other points of interest: you have to go on foot about 30-40 min or take a water train (6.5 EURO one trip or 16 EURO 12-hour ticket)
Cleanliness – our room was clean but ugly smoked. When I applied to reception at the main office they told me: That is impossible! No any apologies. So, we had to solve that problem ourselves and slept with the opened widows both nights.
Facilities – our room named “Giotto” was large with two windows. There were small TV and refrigerator, no conditioner. There were no shampoo and soup in the tiny bathroom. The bed linen was white; they change towels once per 3 days. No breakfast.
Service – personal at reception spoke English and Russian, chambermaid at our facility spoke Russian. There is cable access to Internet at the main office (you need to have your own notebook to use it).
Value – not bad, however, next time I would like to find something better for 97 EURO per night.
