The hotel is situated on a picturesque square,every evening there was an even going on,like live performance of locals or summer cinema or poem reading...very interesting.
The location of the hotel is in a very accesible spot,you could either walk around or catch a boat to any place or another islan attraction.

Very charming and nice little Hotel with loveley flowered garden inside, located in the very centre of Venice, 5 minutes walking from St. Marks' square the Doge's Palace and th Bridge of Sighs or 'Ponte dei Sospiri'. A 10 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge with it,s fish market busy starting from 18.00 making our typical venetian 'Spritz' untill late hours. Palazzo Soderini is a building of the XVII century which offers comfortable and nice rooms with all facilities.
It's located in an area full of restaurants, museums and important shops just off of 'Riva degli Schiavoni'.
All our rooms are furnished in a pleasant contemporary style but attentive to detail. In all our rooms there is bathroom with shower inside, Telephone, TV Sat, Safe, Mini Bar, Self air-conditioning, Boiling Water Facilities for Tea and Coffee, hairdryer, Ironing board and free wireless connection. Breakfast is included in all our rates.
We also have a 'Romantic Soderini Suite' which also has a balcony, dvd player, stereo, large plasma tv and a jacuzzi 'duo' in the bath-room.......what more can you ask for in a romantic city like Venice.
We do not accept animals.

Since we are a very small establishment our reception is not open 24 hours even though there will be a mobile phone that will answer 24 hours a day.
The reception of Palazzo Soderini is open every day from 8am to 5pm. For arrivals and check-ins after 5pm it is necessary and very important to communicate directly to the staff of Palazzo Soderini (on your reservation form it is sufficient to fill in arrival time) the exact arrival time. In case of late arrivals/delays, it is necessary to communicate the arrival time possibly in advance at the numbers provided in the confirmation email.
Please advise about arrival time very important because reception is not always open. Thank You.

The hotel has a wonderful garden and you ll have the choice to have your breakfast in or outdoors.
I warmly recommend this hotel for a relax and unique visit in Venice!!

Typical of smaller hotels in Venice, our room was not in the main building, but rather in a nearby apartment. No big deal, but since there was no phone in the room, we had to walk to the "lobby" which was about a block away through narrow streets. There was a burned out light bulb in the bathroom which was not replaced during our three day stay, and the maid left a wet towel on the bathroom floor. Another issue is the TV. It did have flat screen TV (very rare in most smaller Italian hotels) but had only Italian channels. Earlier, we stayed in a similar hotel in Florence and it had both CNN International and BBC. Its always nice to stay abreast of world affairs in your native language. Interestingly, we were there when the earthquake hit Aquila, and we had to try to follow the disaster in Italian. Despite the foregoing, this is an excellent value hotel and it is located just a two minute walk off the Grand Canal, and five minutes from Piazza San Marco. My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel, and since the only English language programming was songs on MTV Italia, we actually were able to catch up on the latest toons! Both in our 60's, we forego watching MTV when we are home in Canada.

In case of late arrivals/delays, it is necessary to communicate the arrival time in advance
You will be able to deposit your luggage at the hotel untill late evening if you are departing late on the last day of your stay in Venice.
If you do not do that and if for this reason it is not possible to check you in, we will charge the first night's stay on your credit card.
Advise about arrival time. Reception is not always open so we must organize for all our arrivals and so as to do this we must have a rather precise arrival time..

Directions
From the railway station 'Santa Lucia' or from car terminal Piazzale Roma public boat transportation lines 1 or 41 to Arsenale Boat Stop turn left cross little bridge walk 200 mts and on right you find 'Calle del Dose' walk down that street and 50 metres you find Campo Bandiera e Moro where we are at number 3611.
Line 1 takes 40/45 mins Line 41 takes 25/30 mins.
From International airport 'Marco Polo' water shuttle company 'Alilaguna' ( www.alilaguna.it ). This service is in connection with the main daily flights and the run takes around 01,00 hrs to get to Arsenale boat stop.
Get off at boat stop 'Arsenale' turn on your left and cross the bridge called 'Ca' di Dio', pass the Hotel Gabrielli and turn to the right on 'Calle del Dose' after that you will arrive in a nice square 'Campo Bandiera e Moro'. In front of you there is Palazzo Soderini. At the door number 3611.
