About Shin Matsuba Ryokan

Shin Matsuba Ryokan is a Japanese-style inn at Iizuka Onsen, in Fukushima Prefecture. 3 min walk from the nearest station. Soak and relax in our private, 100% natural hot spring bath. Book a bath just for your own family to use! You can also bathe in our newly installed outdoor stone bath.

Followed by the bath, enjoy an interesting and unusual Japanese style dinner course. You may have a choice of ostrich meat, sweet potatoes, or cactus. These are all especially ideal for health conscious guests but none of which can be associated with Japanese food, for sure!

New rotenburo (outdoor bath) . Come enjoy the soothing soak with the view of waterfall. They can be used privately as there is a lock at the door.

All rooms are of Japanese-style. If you order breakfast or dinner, it will be served in either your room or in the dining room.

Check-in is 4pm (no later than 10pm) and checkout is 10am.

Curfew is at 11pm.

Bathing tax 150yen will be charged separately.

The inn is furnished with free car parking, karaoke room, banquet hall, shop, vending machine, and coin laundry. Other available services at separate charge are dry cleaning, sending/receiving faxes, massages, wake-up calls, and courier. In the lounge next to reception, complimentary tea and coffee are available. Local newspaper and rental umbrellas are also available for free.

Visit nearby tourist spots including Hanamiyama Mountain, a beautiful spot to view cherry blossoms in early spring and famous temples such as Ioji Temple and Nakano Fudo or the remains of Ootorijyo Castle. Stop by an art gallery or glass museum as you go for a walk through the hot spring town. Enjoy a variety of sports including fishing, water sports, rafting, tennis, golf, soccer, hiking, skiing, trekking and mountain climbing.

By train: take a bullet train from Tokyo to Fukushima Station for 1.5 hours. Then take a local train from Fukushima Station and get off at Iizaka Onsen Station.

By car: Take Tohoku Jidoshado Expressway from Tokyo for 3.5 hours, then get off at Fukushima Iizaka interchange and finally continue for 6 minutes to Iizaka Onsen.

From Iizaka Onsen Station, simply walk to the inn which is only 3 minutes away. Firstly, take the street to your right from the station and turn right at the bridge. Secondly, walk over the bridge, turn left at the street you come across and continue straight. Finally, you will soon see Shinmatsuba to the left.

Directions
